Shame. He was a nice lad. Shame about the Chelmsford Athletics coat he wore sometimes in the clubhouse!!!

That's a real shame, he showed promise and looked a good prospect in pre-season. The way our defence is playing at the minute he would've probably got a first XI game soon!

Did we release him or was he offered a deal by Witham?

He wasn`t being selected so you can`t blame him for moving on for a chance of first team football.

Good luck to him except when we play Witham of course <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I thought Witham had money problems and their manager left - or am I getting confused with some other club in this division which probably starts with a W ?

No Witham are in a bit of trouble at the moment but i doubt Holmes is going (if it`s true) for the money, probably the chance of playing first team football closer(?) to home has lured him away.

Believe alot of Witham's better players have gone to Wivenhoe.

I see in the latest Ryman League Bulletin that Adam Holmes has left Great Wakering where he has spent the past few seasons to join AFC Sudbury.
