because they are not from canvey and most players are based in romford or dagenham area.they don't even play their matches at park lane..

For everybody's info we have a successful U/18 team based on Canvey..they are managed by none other than Gary Britnell. It was decided that because many of them are still only 16 (last years U/16s) that they would play in a weaker league this year ( They are currently playing in the Chelmsford youth league U/18) they will progress to the eastern counties Junior alliance u/18 next year. This is where our Romford based team are playing this year and we couldn't have two in the same league. For your records they remain unbeaten in the league and cup..hope this helps..

shame that a team called canvey island should play their home matches in romford...who's gonna watch them playing? we are playing a first year team(u'16 from last year)with 5 this year u'16's(ironically a ouple from the island)in the squad, competing in the u'18s eastern junior alliance, with most teams second year.it's all about developping players at this age or is about winning?gary britnell is doing that team in the chelmsford league because his son is playing for them

Thanks for your comments but I think its best you look after your club and we will look after ours...as for Gary doing it "just because his son plays" is that wrong? I don't know who you think you are to judge his motives..does john batch manage our first team because his son plays in the reserves?? I don't think so.. perhaps they are just developing players for the future...I think you should go back to your own forum and perhaps come back when your more successful than Canvey...we are certainly not touting for players and giving out Managers numbers on the Hullbridge forum..

FOR ALL THE PEOPLE THAT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE UNDER 18'S

This particular side have played for canvey for the last 3 years, prior to that being a very successful junior side in the echo league playing for Byron Red Star. After several very successful seasons they were asked to join Canvey through their connection with Mitchell Lowes who at the time was an U/18 player. Also playing for Byron at junior level beforehand. The u/18s continued their succes after joining canvey by winning the chairmans and london cup in the first season and beaten finalists in the italian tour that year. in their second season they held the london cup title and were beaten finalists in the ingilby cup but winners in the italy tour beating a Sarrejevo side boasting 5 international stars. This season they started on fire, leading the league and so far reaching the third qualifying round of the Fa cup. In answer to the comments about the team not coming from canvey as far as im aware there are very few if any arsenal chelsea players that live in highbury or come from Fulham road or maybe highbury is a suburb of paris!!

And for your information we do not play in romfordm, but chigwell and the reason for this is that our players who do not all come from romford and none from dagenham but as far a field as bermondsey, islington and leyton have ease of transportation. when necessary they play their games at park lane, and when they have they have put on a very fine show defeating teams such as clacton 9-1. this is also to help maintain the pitch in its present quality.

To finish, the under 18s are a great vehicle to produce quality young players for canvey island football club, and all the lads regardless of where they are from have an ambition and desire to reach first team status. Should you have anymore queris regarding the under 18s please do not hesitate to post on the sight and we will do our best to answer any of your questions.

But i would add, if you don't know what your talking about keep quiet.

and...what message is sending to all the local lads living in canvey and neighborood areas?don't bother lads,we get boys from as far as bermondsey and you can go and play elsewhere.another thing that puzzle me is"why you didn't find a ryman premier club or something similar in your area?"sure there a lot of clubs in london that would have welcomed a" successful" team like yours...
