what's the latest with dmitri k?

his contract originally ran until 31 december. has it been extended, or has he gone elsewhere?

Well, he originally had a five week contract until the new year and thats finished now, fortunately...he's decided to stay for a couple of years and teach us all how to make russian tea....oh...and he's doing a bit of coaching and playing on the side as well.....!.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Does that mean he's actually signed a two-year coaching contract with the Urchins?

 

I met him in December to do an interview with him and at that stage he really wasn't sure.

 

One thing that impressed me was what a genuinely nice and sincere character he was.

Hi dan, there is a contract in principle between the club and Dmitry just about to be signed...it will be... never fear ...although as I type..... its not....one or two little issues to be ironed out...nothing serious.... Speak to the great man himself, he'll be pleased to hear from you...only joking..... you know he's not to keen on publicity....bit like the old urchins really....!!!!...watch the forum over the next few days....

 

I believe the old mags out tommorrow......hope we've got a good show....if we ain't we won't let you interview our internationals when we're in the barclaycard....!!!.....cheers mate....

i think they've held the piece over for the next issue, so i'd like to get an update in. should still be time for that. perhaps, as you guys clearly have your finger on the pulse, one of you could email me once his situation is finalised - and i will then contact mick marsden to confirm the details. it would be much appreciated.

hi dan...no, I don't speak russian but its a wonderful country, so long as you don't have to live there all the time....only joking....good goal keepers though....we guessed that the march edtion was probably the one to watch out for...funnily enough Dmitry brought his contract back in today all signed sealed and delivered and he's playing tomorrow night I believe in a friendly against Ford United...why not give Mick a ring and he'll fill you in on all the details if you want to do an update....better still...if you're around...come down saturday and watch the home game and have a drink with us afterwards...be good to see you....we are obviously delighted that D has agreed to join us for an extended stay....as you say...he's a real good guy and has a lot to offer...good luck....

Hi dan, don't know if you spotted the article about Yuri Tishkov in the Sundays, appears he was shot to death by unkown assassins outside his home last week in Moscow, Dymitri used to play with him at Dynamo and knew him well, sad old world really aint it, the article says that he was a big media player in Russia, makes you wonder what its all about..

the article I read stated that he had 'fallen foul' of business associates, apparently he was a lawyer with big interests as an football agent. He didn't sell Rebrov to spurs did he, that might explain it all!
