not to sure about your thoughts on the game ?
you were totally out played in the 1st half but came into the game only when the red card came into play! to be fair you may be in a false position in the league on todays performance, but great atmosphere in the second half.

First chance to the Abbott's as a wayward effort from Wesley Rutherford sailed well wide on 2 mins ,Es responded with a Sam Judge freekick which was dealt with by Abbey keeper Jon Hickman on 8 mins , A Nick Burt freekick was then headed narrowly wide of Paul Daley's goal by Lee White on 12 mins . On 19 mins Waltham Abbey were awarded a penalty as a ball played over the top put Harry Elmes in with a chance but Gbenga Sonuga was adjudged to have fouled him by Mr Fay as he musculed him away from the ball . Lee White converted to put Abbott's 1-0 up . A freekick by James Elmes sailed over Es bar soon afterwards . Es went on the attack as Bret Donnelly turned his man but scuffed his shot straight at Hickman. A shot by Harry Elmes then cleared Daley's Crossbar . A chance for Owen Beale but his shot was easily dealt with by Hickman. The last action of the first half saw Harry Elmes cross for James Elmes who headed wide. H/T

2nd Half Harry Elmes shoots very lamely and Daley makes an easy save, (Es subs Sherwin Stanley & Jon Stephenson on for Mark Whittington & Martin Young 49mins) A flare up off the ball between Bret Donnelly & Dave Ayres got them booked by Mr Fay ,Sam Judge then fires wide of Jon Hickman's goal from Owen Beale's corner. Marlon Stuart appeared to be bundled over in the Abbott's box but Mr Fay waved play on . Donnelly & Ayres again clashed off the ball and again were Ayres was warned but Ayres decided to back chat Mr Fay and received his marching orders , Sam Judge was then taken down in the box by a high boot and again Mr fay waved play on. (Abbey sub Justin Gentle off for Wesley Forde) A fine ball across the Abbott's six yard box from Sammy Judge but nobody could get a touch on the ball. With 67 mins gone Es equalised as Sherwin Stanley got clear down the wing and his deep cross was met by Bret Donnelly who put the ball into Paul Oshin's path and he bundled the ball home from close in. Es seemed to be having the better of it now , Bret Donnelly wasn't too far away from 20 yards , A brilliant last ditch tackle by Gbenga Sonuga denied James Elmes a good chance . Bret Donnelly was foiled by a desperate block from Lee white . Sam Judge again got in a fine cross and once again nobody could connect with the ball . Bret Donnelly looked to have broken clear of Wes Forde but was fouled as he broke away and Forde was booked for his trouble. An Owen Beale cross confused Hickman as the ball just went past the Abbott's keepers far post. Albert Bostock had a great chance for Abbey but he fired over Daley's bar , Both sides were going for a winner now and Brett Donnelly got clear only for Hickman to save with his legs , In stoppage time James Elmes could have won it for the Abbott's but pulled his shot wide , And an even worse miss by Luke Power at the death as he fired over from just six yards, but a very late off side flag spared him a major embarrassment. Att 131.

Es . 1 Paul Daley 2 Mark Whittington 3 Louis Lancaster 4 Paul Oshin 5 Oliver Stroud 6 Gbenga Sonuga 7 Sammy Judge 8 Owen Beale 9 Marlon Stuart 10 Brett Donnelly 11 Martin Young . subs 12 Phil Goss 14 Sherwin Stanley 15 Dean Gilbert 16 Jon Stephenson 17 Dan Amfossy.

Waltham Abbey. 1 Jon Hickman 2 Nick Burt 3 Dan Page 4 Lee White 5 Dave Ayres 6 Luke Power 7 Wesley Rutherford 8 Albert Bostock 9 James Elmes 10 Harry Elmes 11 Justin Gentle subs 12 Ben Darwin 14 Ryan Dear 15 Harry Hayes 16 Wesley Forde 17 Tony Tillbrook.

could possibly have had a penalty when Marlon was taken down and definately when Sammy was kicked in the head ,Some iffy offsides at both ends. The sending off was a bit harsh . We didn't fire on all cylinders today and not at all in the first half as you say.
