I was arguing with my flatmate over which game would be more embarassing to play on a "professional" level (read: at all) curling or badminton. He was talking to someone at work about it and they sent him this article. I thought it was really funny when he showed me; it quickly lists the top 13 worst games ever made (decided by some Americans) and although I don't agree with some of them, it's great to see curling and badminton at the top.

I'd add baseball, American "football", basketball, both codes of rugby, golf, synchronised swimming and show jumping to the list. And anything involving ice skates. Oh and remove "soccer" (ouch) and crickey from it.

Colonials. No wonder we got shot of them in 1776.

Basketball is the crappiest sport I can come up with . Its so boring and the squeaking players footwear on polished floors just puts my teeth on edge. same with table tennis,

I agree that American football isn't as great as REAL football, but at least the Colts are headed to the Superbowl. Tis an accomplishment for a state known for basketball and corn. grin

I have never understood the need for cheerleaders. If you are a true fan, you should be able to get yourself into a frenzy when your team is doing something great. Look at real football, no cheerleaders in sight, and the fans are singing, cheering, shouting, swearing, etc, all on their own.

There is such a thing as male cheerleaders. It wouldn't matter if it was a cheerleading squad of the world's hottest men, I still don't see a need for them, if the fans are truly fans.
