As i am unable to make tonights game, Top Gun will inform me of events as they unfold & i will update the forum. I do know its very foggy TG thought the game might be in doubt, but his last text at 7.30pm, said it had got better. More when i get it.

.Walton Casuals 2-2 Enfield ,Es won 5-4 on pens.

Not much happening in the first 12 mins as both sides were sussing each other out. But Walton had the first shye at goal as a cross from Chris Woodward was headed over Es bar by Greg Ball . On 16 mins the deadlock was broken as a quickly taken freekick by Owen Beale was deftly laid on by Marlon Stuart and Dan Costelloe rammed home into the bottom corner to put Es 1-0 ahead. Walton came back with strongly and Scott Harris's corner was just headed over Paul Daley's bar by Greg Ball . Es were then awarded a contenious penalty on 24 mins As a low cross from Martin Young(I Think) came through the dence fog and Jermaine Hinds slipped and the ball appeared to get stuck under him But Mr Hatzidakis saw different and awarded a Penalty . Marlon Stuart slammed it home 2-0 to Es . Walton stepped up a gear and Paul Daley did well to deny Anthony Gale's stinging freekick, A shot by Ball then went wide ,James Crowe was then booked for a skirmish off the ball with Marlon Stuart . A shot by Ball then cleared Es bar on 38 mins. A shot by Craig Carley was not too far away either . Es got lucky as Wes Borghys tangled with a Walton forward in the box and the Walton player went down but only a corner was given. A cross by Jermaine Hinds and John Ambridge heads just over Es bar.Hinds was booked for a foul on Costelloe. Another cross by Chris Woodward and Carley has his header palmed over the bar by Paul Dayley' From the corner Walton pulled one back as Harris's corner was partially cleared and John Ambridge slotted home right on half time 2-1 to Es.

2nd half , Paul Daley saved from Craig Carley in the 46th min and then Kristian Webb fires wide of Es goal. Mark Whittington did very well to block out Carley's fierce drive and Carley again was close with an overhead kick from a cross from the flank. Jermaine Hinds then hacks down Jon Stephenson and was sent off 56mins.
Gale & Harris were also booked for arguing the decision. A fine cross by Owen Beale and Marlon Stuart appeared to be blatently shoved off the ball ,But NO penalty given ??. Gale off for Mike Cobden & Webb off for Jack Watkins for Walton. Ball shoots over Es bar and a long range drive by Woodward was well taken by Daley. Sherwin Stanley off for Sam Judge 70 mins . Ball again shoots wide of Es goal ,Then as tempers were becoming frayed a moment of madness by Craig Carley as he elbowed Jon Stephenson ,This started a free for all and when things calmed down Carley was sent off .Chris woodward ,Martin young & Paul Daley were all booked for their part in the melee. Dean Pennant on for the very groggy Jon Stephenson 73 mins ,Dan Costelloe booked for a nonsence foul. Harris's freekick was headed straight at Daley by Watkins. Dean Pennant booked for another nonsence foul. Marlon Stuart was inches away with a good shye at goal. Sam Judge had a good try saved by Matt Reed , Es were then down to ten men as Martin Young tripped a walton player and was sent off for a 2nd yellow 85 mins. Gbenga Sonuga on for Costelloe 87 mins . And on 90mins a dramatic twist as a deep cross by Woodward was met by Greg Ball and the ball found its way home despite Paul Daley's valliant attempt to keep it out 2-2.

Extra Time, Mike Cobden was booked for taking down Oliver Stroud ,A good cross by Sam Judge and Owen Beale was inches wide . Wes Borghys was then mysteriously booked ??? Only Mr Hatzidakis knew why ??? Wes Borghys did brilliantly to clear a very dangerous cross as it was heading in. Oliver Stroud booked for a foul ,(Another joke decision)
Harris shoots over Es bar And a great save by Daley kept out Greg Ball.Cobden fires wide and was then booked for fouling Owen Beale . Sam Judge's freekick was brilliantly turned away by Matt Reed. Marlon Stuart then fires just over and then even more controversey as Owen Beale is sent off for a very tired looking foul on 120 mins. F/T

A penalty shootout First up Marlon Stuart and he makes No mistake 1-0 Es . Scott Harris scores for Walton 1-1 . Oliver Stroud for Es 2-1 , Jack Watkins makes it 2-2 , Louis Lancaster blasts home 3-2 . Mike Cobden 3-3 for Walton. Dean Pennant, The young man did good 4-3, Chris Woodward level's it up 4-4 . Wesley Borghys slams his one home 5-4 to Es , Greg Ball elects to go straight down the middle ,Paul Daley stands his ground to knock it away and Es have won.

Walton Casuals 1 Matt Reed 2 Chris Woodward 3 James Crowe 4 Jermaine Hinds 5 James Pearson 6 John Ambridge 7 Anthony Gale 8 Craig Carley 9 Greg Ball 10 Scott Harris 11 Kristian Webb ,subs 12 Mike Cobden 14 Jack Watkins 15 Ryan Adams 16 Steve Sutherland 17 Chris Nelson.

Es 1 Paul Daley 2 Mark Whittington 3 Louis Lancaster 4 Oliver Stroud 5 Wesley Borghys 6 Jon Stephenson 7 Martin Young 8 Owen Beale 9 Marlon Stuart 10 Dan Costelloe 11 Sherwin Stanley .subs 12 Bret Donnelly 14 Gbenga Sonuga 15 Sam Judge 16 Dean Pennant 17 Dan Amfossy.

Oliver Stroud was outstanding for Es tonight

A fantastic game of football laced with drama, passion and controversy thanks mainly due to the referee. I thought we'd lose our heads when their equaliser went in after 92 mins . But our boys dug deep and kept going and kept their heads up. A great effort from all of you boys out there . We were all very proud last night.

Thanks to our supporters for being there and lifting our boys

I would like to say as well what was the ref on over the course of the two games???? Only 2 bad challanges last nite(late lunge on Joh & the elbow that knocked John out)Both fouls booked well done ref but, that was it!
To get four sendings off and all but 2 players booked(as well as subs) for nothing!!! He was out of control the ref, it was like someone had bought him a new packet of crayons and note book and had to use them!
The ref looked like he was picked from a line up of Traffic wardens and Tax inspectors!!!

But enough of that mug, well done E's nice day out to look forward to now. Heads on though guys for the next 2/3 games before hand!
Well done E's!!!

I saw MFM at last nights game, he was standing outside the ground handing out leaflets about a UFO meeting. I think its going to be at Brimsdown, may be there coming to take the Townies away, ha ha. I might go down ther with my very BIG HORN & blow a few of the little squirts away, ha ha. Did i see you (MFM) take a swing at somebody, with that walking stick, it wasn't that very wide block who shouts alot behind the goal, he calls some people nobheads.
