We had enough chances but couldn't get them on target ,The second half was frustrating as four clear cuts were missed and their keeper made a blinding save . Quite the opposite to the Arlesey game last week . Jon Stephenson did get one on target to level up in the first half. credit to Tilbury they put away two of the few that came their way .

Neil Hughes had two very good chances but looks rusty .I think he'll do OK for us in the long run . I didn't like the tackle on Owen Today the guy should have walked for it . Two very sloppy goals conceded. The first one in particular.

The Tilbury players thought they were playing rugby, or even wrestling!

Tilbury 2-1 Enfield

A near miss by Marlon Stuart in the 1st min was quickly followed by an outrageous hack from behind on Owen Beale But referee Mr Parker only saw fit to give Martyn Guest a lecture ,Owen was being trated for several mins off the field . As both sides seemed to be cancelling each other out some hesitant defending from Es rearguard allowed Nana Badu to take possession of the ball and his shot from the edge of the box found the bottom corner 1-0 Tilbury 18 mins. Sherwin Stanley then fires wide for Es ,Badu again tried his luck from a tight angle but his shot went across Es box with nobody in sight to tap home.Owen Beale's freekick was headed wide by Sherwin Stanley and then on 34 mins Es were level as Sherwin took the ball around Tilbury keeper Dean Neil and his cross was met by Jon Stephenson who headed home 1-1. Another awful foul this time on Mark Whittington as Badu bobychecked him into touch with no intent towards the ball , Referee Mr Parker "again" just had a word .A shot by Erkan Yousef went well wide for Tilbury as he cut in from the wing . Paul Daley was this time in the wars as he intercepted a ball fed to Badu and he did look to have agrivated his groin injury ,but he opted to carry on. Daley then makes a good save denying Jordan Tolan . Nana Badu then chopped down Gbenga Sonuga again No action.H/T

Enfield started more positivley but not creating anything apart from possession ,Dan Costelloe was taken off and Neil Hughes made his entrance 50 mins . And he was soon in the thick of it as he was almost put clear but a timely header by George Alder kept him in check. A shot by Jon Stephenson was inches over Tilbury's bar ,And Stephenson again from the edge of the box bought a brilliant full length save from Dean Neil. Owen Beale was still feeling the effects of the earlier incident and was replaced by Oliver Stroud ,Neil Hughes was put clear by Sherwin Stanley but he sliced his shot just wide as Dean Neil closed him down. Nick Symons was booked for chopping down Marlon Stuart . Neil Hughes was inches away again as Martin Young's shot was blocked, Alder off for Tyron Thomas for Tilbury ,Then against the run of play Tibury went ahead as a 25 yard daiseycutter shot by Jordan Tolan got though the Es defenders legs and un unsighted Paul Daley couldn't react 2-1 Tilbury 70 mins . Jon Stephenson shoots narrowly wide and Martin Young puts over a good cross but Sherwin Stanley misses the target. Danny Jones on for Nana Badu 76 mins . Oliver Stoud then blazes one over Tilbury's bar ,Martin Young again puts over a good cross and Neil Hughes was a whisker away with this one. Manlee Brown was booked for a blatent shove, Brad David on for Jerome Boyce for Tilbury, With Es throwing everybody forward Tilbury almost snatched a third when a breakaway cross found Brad Smart but he scooped it over the bar.

Tilbury 1 Dean Neil 2 George Alder 3 Martyn Guest 4 Bradley Smart 5 Nick Symons 6 Paul King 7 Manlee Brown 8 Jack O'Connor 9 Nana Badu 10 Jordan Tolan 11 Jerome Boyce .subs 12 Danny Jones 14 Phil Ellis 15 Brad David 16 Tyron Thomas

Es 1 Paul Daley 2 Mark Whittington 3 Wes Borghys 4 Gbenga Sonuga 5 Jon Stephenson 6 Dan Costelloe 7 Dave Bound 8 Owen Beale 9 Sherwin Stanley10 Marlon Stuart 11 Martin Young subs 12 Phil Goss 14 Neil Hughes 15 Sam Judge 16 Oliver Stroud 17 Dan Amfossy.

Near Misses dont account for too much with at least four going begging.

No Bret Donnelly (Ankle) Paul Oshin (Leg) Louis Lancaster (Illness) Nick Turner is working on his fitness after ankle ligament damage and Isn't too far away ,Dean Gilbert (Back) is also working on his fitness.

Enfield cross into the box, with Neil & Es' Stuart jumping for the ball, along with a Tilbury defender.
