Waltham Forest 0-0 Canvey Island

According to the Forest forum, although we had a goal ruled out for offside!

Anyone got the starting line-up? Another clean sheet looks good and one more point in the bag.

Look forward to hearing the views of those there...

Not a brilliant game but we were probably the better team. Pitch didn't make for any good football and very few goalscoring chances wee created.

Ricky made a good save in the second half and their keeper saved well from a Corbell free kick but not a lot else.

I'm going to struggle to fill a match report!!! Credit to the lads, they battled well and another clean sheet and undefeated game.

Wnkrs! The only word i have for your supporters. You persist in calling our players Wnkrs all through the match and we can call you that too - i suppose thats fair? Not only that, you seemed to have abducted a Slovak!

Thought it was a very poor game though.

And next time you come down, for the love of God buy some more programmes! I stayed up til 3 this morning printing 120 programmes for what i thought would be a big crowd. It was a big crowd. But between you you bought about 10 programmes!

Not realy a great game but be had the most of the game especialy in the second half thought ricky only had one thing to do and when he was called into action he did do well. There keeper yet again didn't have alot to do but made a good a save from Corbell's free kick. Wasn't impressed with the one of the linos he just didn't give anything they were pulling nicky rugg's shirt non-stop and he missed a few hand balls and gave some throw ins the wrong way. I thought the defence were good again today but we realy are missing a finisher up front someone to score lots of goals but another clean sheet so things do keep getting better.

What did happen to our slovakian friend he walked off in search of a fag i think just before half time???

Leon had a great chance to make it 1-0 he done all the hard work, chased the ball takled the guy.. ran towards the goal. The goalie dived the wrong way but leon decided to pass instead of tap it in the goal.

overall not a good game.

Forest Gump, i have one thing to say your GK..what an embarassment. decides he should fall into Leon to get a rest, fat bstrd!

Who was the Slovak? He asked to buy my last fag. It'd've helped if I smoked at all...

I think we did alright, but not really. Our players didn't look like they had the energy for the fight and created very few chances despite having the bulk of the play. Never mind, a point is satisfying given the display. Another clean sheet is always welcome too.

Just thought I'd say, it was great to listen to Mel giving Ricky advice before the game. I've got no experience of Capleton, but surely he can only have a positive effect on our 'keepers.

The Slovak was some dude who was in the pub before the game. Came to the match at his own free will. He wasn't abducted.

By the way, Mr Gump, maybe you'd prefer it next time if we don't turn up at all. I find it terribly ironic when we start chanting 'what's it like to see a crowd', but really, maybe you should just appreciate the fact that we more than trebled your attendance today and brought some noise and atmosphere to the game.

Personally I think you've got a nice ground and the potential to have a decent fan base (who hasn't?), but you've got to get used to seeing a crowd occasionally. We're not going to stand there applauding your players when they fall over for the sake of it, or clap the ref when he waves play on after our player gets yanked to the ground again. Yes we shout abuse, but that's football - always has been, always will be.

If you didn't like our support then you won't like Hornchurch's when they come to your place. They're just as loud and far more abusive.

In a nice way though.

You wasn't at Boreham Wood on his loan debut then, where he saved more penalties in that game than he ever conceeded in a Canvey shirt?

Your bar staff didn't complain and call us wnkrs when they were selling all that booze before the game. Your burger bar couple were also happy for the chance to serve a crowd. Sorry if some of the 'suits' in the stand had their quiet afternoon spoiled by chanting football fans, but that's what we do.

Have a word with your keeper; he took it all in good heart and thanked the Canvey crowd behing his goal at the end of the game for the (genuine) applause and 'well done's he was given by our lot at the final whistle.

When you all come to our place in February you will be encouraged to make as much noise as possible and you will be made very welcome by our bar staff. Although I apologise in advance that you will have to pay £1.50 to park your taxi.

the reason you didnt sell your programs is because no one in this world would want to pay £1-50 for that bit of [****!!****] i wouldnt even wipe my ass with it !!!! over priced bit of toilet paper!!

Another good point to keep the unbeaten run going although we did deserve all 3 points..

Forest Gump - I have to say i would not pay 50p let alone £1.50 for that crap you called a programme..

Also your pitch was worse then a cow field! Could your club not be bothered to cut the grass or at the very least roll it..

Why do some clubs at this level not even look after the most basic elements of running a football club.?

Roll on Tuesday!

Sounds like they enjoyed having a crowd there too. Thought I'd pass the message on anyway,

"I have just been reading the Canvey forum.

I can't be bothered to register, but if I did I would have to say that the w**k**s behind the goal after the game that kicked the metal sheeting in are really big and should be proud of themselves - Essex tossers!!!!!"
