Harlow

Another tough test coming up, barring injuries i can`t see us making any changes to last weeks starting X1.

Reading the Harlow forum it seems they have signed a defender (Anthony Henry) today and he is due to play tomorrow.

Must admit i`d be happy with a point.

Fancy us to get something at Harlow but we need to take our chances tomorrow. Hornchurch didn't when they played them and were punished.

Don't see any reason why it wouldn't be. Weather was a bit ropey today but nowhere near as bad as last weekend.

What a game harlow were a very good team and had many chances but they didn't put the ball in the net. The yellows did play very well the whole team had a good game. The first goal was a good move then leon gordon picked up the ball crossed it in on the floor and jay currun ran in a placed it home though the keeper got a hand to it he was never going to stop it. This sent the yellow army mentle!!! The second goal was some brillint work by ryan edgar he picked the ball up on the half way line beat two players and passed it to rugg on the edge of the box ruggy back-healed it to ryan who took two touches and placed it in the back of the net. Everyone went mental all the player the subs and of corse the fans then about 30 seconds later the final whistle went a good day out and a good game. We did hit the post once in the first half when bournes cross was deflected onto the post. They hit the bar and the post a couple of times but ricky looked unbeatable in the goal. No Dave at the back today but johnny stuart was very good. The attendence was about 300 at least 100 of those were canvey.

WELL DONE YELLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Superb performance today against a good side who just didn't get the rub of the green with the chances they had - oh well tough....

Every player deserved credit today but there was a few that deserved a mention - Ricky had a superb game today and Crow was rock solid. Difficult for me to pick a man of the match and I'm going to be a tad controversial here and say Jon Stuart. The best I've seen him play and not easy moving into centre of defence in a team that is on a roll - I don't think we even missed that old looking fella who normally plays at the back

I overheard the Harlow fans say that the crowd wasn't as big as that against Hornchurch but they felt our support was definitely louder - and that was before we scored. Great seeing everyone go mental when we did!

Two home games coming up in the league for us to consolidate our position.

Nice ground today that deserves better support - not sure the air raid siren will attract any of the old pensioners back - probably bring back bad memories

Fantastic result today, I really enjoyed it. I feel that with the chances Harlow had, they should have beaten us, but they couldn't hit a barn door, let alone the back of the net. Ricky was also top class in goal and is my man of the match, though as said above, Stuart and Crow played particularly well.

I'd like to say, Harlow's ground is probably the best away ground I've been to this season. With bigger crowds and future terracing behind the goals, it'll be a great stadium. Something I hope Canvey have one day soon.
