I have to say, it is a disgrace for a club to ban an air horn when it allows a drum to be played. Mind you, Canvey seem to think they are better than the rest of us with their over inflated prices and charging for parking!
£1;50 to park your car and then have the cheek to charge £8 to get in ,and if thats not bad enough another £1 to sit in the stand . And £2;50 a pint just to really put visiting fans off. As a proud Towner I will make a point of not going to that place again. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

When you start a season in the financial position that we did, you have to adjust your pricing accordingly. If we could get away with charging £5 a person and free parking we would, but plans were put in place to secure the short term and long term financial security of the club. As for £2.50 a pint, that's not exactly extortionate in this day and age.

As for the air horn, I can only apologise that this was taken away. Don't get me wrong, the stewards acted correctly in terms of the rules, but maybe this should have been looked upon with a more sympathetic view.

To allow Home fans to have 'noise making' items, but to them ban such items form away fans is wrong and inconsistant.
Most fans will abide by any clubs personal policy on safety, but those rules must be consistant for both home and away fans.

Stewarding methods in Ryman 1 should be different to methods employed at Conference level.Away support at this level is overwhelminly small in number and benign. To carry on imposing Conference type restrictions ,smacks of overkill.

I persoanlly believe that £7 should be the absoulte limit at this level.I would like to see FA restrictions based on league level with every club having to charge a standard amount. It also seems that gate prices rise far more sharply that inflation every season, with the usual 50p-£1 increase at the start of every new season, representing a year on year price increase of well over 10-15%.Compared to yearly inflation of 2-4%.

I just refuse to buy a programme or Drinks from any club who either charges more than £7 to get in,charges extra for seating,or charges money to park.Canvey are the first club i know to meet all three criteria.

Anyway, why park in Canveys car park, when its very easy to park in the surrounding roads??

I dont come on here very often but i just wanted to say a few things...

i think the boys were a little under par the back four looked rocky at times mark didnt look comfortable and i think john was well under his best the 3rd goal killed us and i think if we went in 2-1 down we could have at least come away with a draw he should have known better then to try and play with only 2 mins to go...

Neil hughes still looks very weak great feet but still lightweight.

The new boy looks like a good player. come on boys lets not stop now we can get to the playoffs we just need to work a little harder...

Not being aloud to take air horns into football grounds is an FA regulation and applies to all football grounds in the country. This is because
a. it can be thrown
b. it is a compressed air canister
c. can cause hearing damage if let off near someone

There is plenty of car parking in the streets around the ground and you could have parked there for free

And with the second highest attendance in the league £8 obviously isn’t too much

It was an exciting game don’t spoil it by whinging

Oh and as far as the free kick for the 4th goal goes, the highlights will be on the net soon
