Rumour on the Grays forum is that they are to relocate to a new ground in the Five Bells area and groundshare or merge with East Thurrock Utd with both old grounds being sold to pay for the new development shocked

I can`t see how (if true) this move will appeal to many (if any) Grays fans and will surely see the end of the club as they know it.

Grays have now made their plans public

Grays chief plans new home
Comment

Mick Woodward
Grays Athletic are planning to quit their 100-year-old home for a new purpose-built stadium nine miles outside their home town.

The Nationwide Conference club's chairman Mick Woodward says that the two-time FA Trophy winners would "die" if they did not quit their New Rec stadium for a new site.

Ooh, I don't like the idea of the gyppos beeing virtually on our doorstep.

Maybe they could merge with Billericay!!

Seems they`ve had a change of heart.

Following a meeting of Grays Athletic Ltd last night it has been decided that at present the football club will remain at the New Recreation Ground until suitable land can be sourced within the borough, if any person knows of a suitable site that could be utilised for a new facility your views would be most appreciated
