Good Luck Farnborough, Hope You Get Stuffed!!!

Recommended Posts

As a Spurs fan, I've never wanted to see Arsenal win so much. I hope they really embarress Farnborough, not that Westley could care less after announcing his departure! I hate Westley almost as much as Stimmo!

Do I detect a West Ham supporter by any chance?

I thought all intelligent thinking people who enjoy good flowing football, from a club steeped in tradition, support West Ham. Down on their luck at the moment, I agree, but still the ONLY team off the island worth supporting, surely?

I think Westley is starting to regret saying that Farnborough would be in the Premiership within ten years. The Ryman Premiership perhaps!

i don`t know why SOME people are so anti farnborough. the team that played today was putting non league football in the news. they were never going to win but they gave it their best and that`s all you can do. if we had got through and drawn arsenal i am sure it would not have been played at park lane. i always hope the little team has a chance, why else would you go to port vale away? 99% of people who went there expected us to lose, but we done it. we had our name across the papers for a few days, and raised a bit of money. teams like us and farnborough are not going to win the fa cup, but let us/them enjoy the moment

Ronin, did you support Canvey in the year they won the league? I assume you did, and you would therefore have encountered the cockyness of Graham Westley. The set up at Farnborough contains too much of this, and their supporters have got to be the most anti-sociable in the non-league. If I don't like a team then I'll want them to lose, just the same as I'll want Arsenal to lose in the next round. Just because they represent the non-league doesn't bother me, as the only non-league team I'm interested in is Canvey. We have represented the non-league for the past few years, and look how the non-league has treated us.

As the song goes "No one likes us, we don't care".

The way I would like to think is; If a non league club is playing a Nationwide or premiership club then I will lean toward the non league club because I follow non league and I also have no interest in any other club but Canvey FC. I would kind of like to think the same support would come toward Canvey from other non leaguers, I know that there would be individuals who wont look at things in the same way but I would hope that generally this would be the case. At the end of the day own opinions is what life is about!!

Excepting Basilricay of course <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Tried to post this earlier Glen, but does not seem to have got through.I personally think that the lack of support shown to other teams on their BIG days lends a lot to our incorrect appearance as being arrogant. Unlucky 'boro, but i did warn about "diving incidents" Nice to see that ARSEnal cheat at all levels though!

Well I can see why people are anti Farnborough, they may put non league in the news but at a time when the Conference are trying to put themselves on a par with Div Three Farnborough claiming they can't host a big cup tie does the cause no good at all, I mean there was no suggestion of Shrewsbury switching their tie to Stamford Bridge.

The game at Highbury was a total farce, the fans hardly bothered to cheer the goals and the players barely celebrated and as for the suggestion that the ref shouldn't have sent off Christian whatever his name is because it was F'boro, well........perhaps he should have sent off an Arsenal player and given F'boro a penalty just to even things up? Still Westley got his money out of it so let us not worry about another nail in the FA Cup's coffin, never again will we see games like Hereford v Newcastle.
