After being thrashed 7-0 by Harlow at the weekend Flackwell managed to beat Waltham Forest 2-1 tonight, a timely reminder for us that even though they are bottom we can`t treat them lightly Saturday.

Will be a difficult game. Hornchurch managed a scrappy 1-0 win over them at their place a few months back so they will give us a real battle especially if the pitch is not in a great condition.

As you say conditions and the state of the pitch can play a big part in some of these results - as we've found out recently.

Good result against a side who like ourselves have turned their results around and put a very good run together.

Reading the Isthmian forum it seems Flackwell have signed 4 players since the Harlow thrashing which goes some way to explain the turnaround in form.

Reading a few comments elsewhere it seems the weather was a bit harsh and Waltham Forest were not at full strength - still a good result for Flackwell Heath. Also appears they have only won two games all season - both against Waltham Forest. Lets hope it remains that way on Saturday.

It's certainly getting a bit tight at the top and a number of clubs have games in hand over us which makes the next 3 games quite important as they are against clubs in the bottom part of the table. However, you have to take each game as it comes and there is no god given right to beat anyone - not even Tilbury tongue

We then play Waltham Forest who are one of the teams that have a couple of games in hand and with one recent exception seem to get a result. All things considered it's great to be thinking of a potential play off spot smile

We really need to get stuck in tomorrow and make sure we come away with all three points, we cant keep struggling against these lowly teams. Another new ground, another adventure, up the Gulls !

Great result today grin

Other results today. Harlow won and Enfield Town lost at Hx. Other clubs around us generally seemed to pick up a point with a draw. We must have had some good support attracting the third biggest gate of the day.

Is the league table up to date on here? I haven't checked it since Tilbury.
