Told by Topgun that final result was 1-1 after Es led 1-0 at half time through a Stevenson goal.

Enfield 1-1 Wingate & Finchley

Ahmet Rifat & Paul Oshin found themselves booked in the opening moments for getting into a tussle , First major opening fell to Martin Young whose freekick was saved by Ed Thompson. Another booking for Wingate's Leon Osei when retaliating after Jeff Hammond had fouled him.E's Dean Thomas was booked for an off the ball incident , A shot by Chris West was tipped round the post by Paul Daley, E's thought they had taken the lead As Martin Young fired home after he was put through by Paul Oshin but a very late flag ruled it out ??? (It looked O K to me and everybody else) Paul Daley was soon in action again this time saving from Dean Williams . The deadlock was broken on 39 mins as Wes Borghys's freekick was met by Jon Stevenson who guided a backward header into Ed Thompson's bottom corner 1-0. And right on half time a glaring miss by Wingate's Leon Osei when a deep cross found him lurking at the back post but he headed over the top. It was a let off for E's . H/T

2nd half Wingate & Finchley levelled matters up on 48 mins as a long throw in by Jirka Houdek somehow found its way through E's rearguard and Darren Assiamah was free to lift the ball over Paul Daley 1-1 . Wingate's Billy Amarteifit was booked for a crude tackle ,Marlon Stuart was a foot wide with a glancing header (Martin Standen and Owen Beale on for Marlon Stuart & Martin Young ) A cross from Owen Beale found Dean Thomas but he just managed to hook his shot wide . A good chance for Wingate & Finchley as Craig Ellis slipped a good ball into the path of Jirka Houdek but he blazed his shot wide. A chance for E's as Owen Beale's shot was saved by Thompson. Jon Stevenson found himself booked for a foul & backchatting Referee Mr Blackledge. Wingate subs (Mark Braddiselski on for Joe O'Brien & Tashan Bradshaw-Browne on for Dean Williams) A shot by Chris West was well over Paul Daley's bar and a superb last ditch tackle by Dean Gilbert foiled Tashan Bradshaw-Browne as he was about to let fly from close in. Last chance of the game saw Martin Standen shoot well wide foe E's .

E's 1 Paul Daley 2 Mark Whittington 3 Louis Lancaster 4 Paul Oshin 5 Dean Gilbert 6 Wesley Borghys 7 Jeff Hammond 8 Jon Stevenson 9 Marlon Stuart 10 Dean Thomas 11 Martin Young subs 12 Owen Beale 14 Martin Standen 15 Oliver Stroud 16 Neil Hughes 17 Dan Anfossy

A view from behind the W&F goal. It was an Es' free kick that hit W&F wall.
