I think thats Crimbo's point High Aviator. St Albans had a home league game of their own; why then were various contingency's of your fan base (some funny named group)giving it the large one about going to the GNFC v CIFC game ?
....or are we not supposed to take them serious ?
T:t

Further to your posted dated 27th March 2002, Mr Gull... (sorry, stil in work mode here):
No, you are NOT supposed to take EFM seriously (for the thirty trillionth time this week). The whole concept of a Firm travelling round following a Ryman League side was just something we find funny. Honestly, that's the truth. The only one you're meant to take seriously is me, because I am highly intelligent and articulate (I mayor may not be telling the truth here). And Trevor isn't my real name. Just thought I'd throe that in, in case people actually start calling me Trevor. Ignore the postings about them turning up anywhere - it's as much as I can do to round them up to play football very badly on a Sunday morning.
A couple of things to remember. Firstly, on the internet, you claim to be whoever you want and say anything you like with no comeback whatsoever. These online "personalities" or "characters" eventually become so confused that it becomes easier to know someone by their online persona than from who they actually are. This is all very well in Internetland, but causes problems when, as with something like these messageboards, it crosses over and pushes against (and sometimes into) something tangible, like, for example, a football club. Because there is no recourse online, these personalities are often less inhibited than "out there" in "the real world". You could say that the lack of control/peer pressure/whatever allows them to almost get in touch with some sort of Freudian "dark side".
Enough of the philosophy. Good result for Canvey last night (even though I didn't rate Gravesend when we played them earlier this season). And for those of you were wondering... EFM stands for "England's First Martyr". One for the next Clarence Park quiz night, methinks.
