Am I alone thanking god that was probaly our last journey to Grays, What a [censored] hole, it was like walking through Beirut getting to the station. I was approached by some old slappers trying to sell me a book about ALI for a fiver or a shag for three quid. What was that all about! Next year we will be in the Conference and I will have saved myself three quid and avoidd a dose.

Ayway to the footie are we the nads or what. Ollie should have had a hatrick, he gas definetly added something. What about the lino what a muppet, I asked him why he didnt flag for offside and he said "only one player was off"??? Quote of the week, not lino your a Cu^^t, not lino your a wan^^r, not lino your [censored],

As I said to the gyppos looking in over the fence. It may look and have the atmosphere of one, but it ain't no Asylum Detention Centre!!

I think Jim summed it up in the second-half,

"Sorry we don't take Euros here!!" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Matt CIFC <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I ain't joking, I honestly saw someone wearing a Romania national team tracksuit top yesterday at Grays. I mean what's that all about!!

I had to admit it was pretty scary when the coach dropped us off at the top of the road and we had to walk down. Those groups of youths with baseball hats looked well shifty!

Anybody see those two big 4x4 in the front entrance. Bet you one is Stimmo's and the other Wayne's.

Pretty impressive view of the docks as we arrived. I have to admit I thought Gravesend was depressing but this takes the biscuit. The crowd was only 586 but looked about 800 or 900 and what on earth are those luxury flats alongside the touchline. You can watch crap football from your balcony!

Bar was very impressive admittedly. Not the greatest place I've watched a football match but still at least the atmosphere was good.

P.S I reckon that shot J.K had in the first half is probably on some cargo ship somewhere. It was so high it would probably reach the docks.

Having recently 'cleaned-up' this website, can I please ask all you erudite posters to be very careful. Racism is not a subject for our discussion board. There may be others elsewhere, but let's keep our board on target. We sing Canvey's praises and we slag off the opposition, that's what it's all about. But we think very carefully before we get involved in political or xenophobic comments. Fair comment?

What we discuss in the bar is another matter, but not here, eh?

I think we are spoilt at Park Lane, we have a nice place to stand behind the goal, a view of the estuary and Nan's burgers. the only thing to spoil it is the thought of ricay trying to invade Basildon and the smell from Grays wafting along the outward tide.

5 years ago I used to be a Londoner and came to Essex as an enthusiastic supporter of all the local non league sides.

I visited a few of the locals and ended up at CIFC.

I thought long and hard about who I should I invest my hard earned with each week, and who would be charged with the vital task of educating my boys in the art of spectating.

I weighed up the pros and cons and thought long and hard.

Sorry ricay but the complete lack of brains and foresight shown by your management group and the sheep like attitude of your supporters left me no choice but to blow you out early.

I visited Canvey and since my first visit this season I have been touched by the pure beuty of YELLOW flying along like a wave of footballing mist wafting over the layer of scum before it.

Little compares to the heady charms of standing at the back with 600 like minded souls watching the the ships go by at half time and praying at the alter that is football.

OH AND BY THE WAY RICAY YOU ARE CRAP AT FOOTBALL AS WELL I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT.
