I thought we played reasonably well defensively ,but Boniek Forbes sending off 20 odd minutes in made us very lightweight up front ,Boundy getting helped off in the first few minutes was the first problem up front . Lee Robinson two /Three great saves ,Wes's header embarrassed their keeper , Shame we couldnt get too much down their end in the second half. Good display by Dean Gilbert as well.

A F C Sudbury 2-1 Enfield

Very much even stevens in the opening Ten Mins but E's were dealt a blow with Dave Bound going off with a knee injury after a heavy challenge from Mike Brothers (Sam Judge on for Dave Bound), Brothers himself was nursing a nose bleed from the same incident and was off the field for a few mins , A succession of three corners put E's on the back foot but the danger was finally cleared ,on 24 mins A good head out by Mark Whittington fell to Tom Noble who blasted his effort wide . Elvis Balic found himself in the book for a challenge on Gareth Heath . From the freekick Lee Robinson made a fine save and Wes Borghys cleared away the danger. On 31 mins a poor decision from Mr Steel as E's were penalised for a backpass as Dean Gilbert sliced a clearence which forced Lee Robinson into a save Mr Steel decided It was A "backpass" !!! , Gareth Heath's freekick though was high wide and handsome. On 33 Mins E's were reduced to 10 men as Boniek Forbes tussled for the ball ,Mr Steel decided that he had raised his elbow's and sent him off (Even the sudbury fans couldn't believe this one) Another ridiculous booking moments later as Oliver Stroud was booked for a next to nothing challenge on Noble. A chance for E's as Dean Thomas fired a shot across Sudbury's goal. A good save by Lee Robinson soonafter denied Noble. And with two mins of stoppage time played E's went ahead as Owen Beale swung over a cross and Wes Borghys's header looped over Natham Munson shaving the crossbar on its way in . Mr Steel added five mins of stoppage time and right on half time a freekick by Gareth Heath was headed home at the far post by Dave Head 1-1 H/T

2nd half A scrappy opening to the second half sprung to life as Dean Thomas shoots across sudbury's box then Lee Robinson made a brilliant tip over from Tom Noble's header. Mike Brothers corner found Dave Head but he put his effort wide.Dave Head again flashes a shot wide of E's goal. Owen Beale was next into Mr Steel's book for a challenge on Phil Boyland . AGAIN NOTHING IN IT ?? But on 73 mins and as Sudbury were enjoying a prolonged spell of momentum Andrew Claydon had two point blank shots saved by Lee Robinson only for the ball to find its way to the edge of the six yard box and Mike Brothers blasted into the corner 2-1 sudbury.E's sub Neil Hughes on for Oliver Stroud 75 mins) (Sudbury sub Ozie Foster on for Andrew Claydon 77 mins) (Elvis Balic off for Andrew Giles 83Mins) Shane Wardley's run into E's territory found Brothers but he missed his kick and the chance was lost(Chris Howlett on for Shane Wardley ).A shot by Phil Boyland went well over .
