Very Disappointed at what happened today ,To capitulate like that was pretty poor , To let in 4 in 22 mins is gutwrenching for those that travelled . Wes sending off was a farce as he never even handballed it ,clearly off his chest. I'll say no more than that .

Bury Town 4-3 Enfield

The first opening fell to Nick Turner who sliced wide on 2 mins from 20 yards , Owen Beale fired over Bury's Bar after Neil Hughes laid the ball off to him .A chance for Bury as Lee Smith's freekick was met by Danny Cornwell but his shot was blocked. Owen Paynter put over a dangerous corner and Sam Reed flicked his shot wide on 14 mins. Sam Reed again put in a low cross and Richard Wray did well to hold onto it. The deadlock was Broken on 21 mins Owen Beale's corner was met by Neil Hughes but his header was cleared to Elvis Balic who fired home into the corner with Dean Greygoose well beaten , Bury responded with a freekick just outside E's box Lee Smith thumped it into E's wall ,Smith again on 28 mins flashes a shot across E's goal . Owen Paynter's freekick was missed by everybody and went wide. And Richard Wray made a fine save denying Sam Reed on 35 mins Richard Wray again punches one out from under his bar while under pressure from Lee Smith's corner. Neil Hughes for E's appeared to be tugged back by his shirt as he was breaking clear but Referee Mr Leech decided no foul . Dean Thomas attempts a lob from distance but it cleared Bury's crossbar by a narrow margin with Bury keeper Dean Greygoose stranded. Then on 44 mins a moment of high drama as Danny Cornwell's close range drive from a cross resulted in Wes Borghys blocking the ball on the line ,Mr Leech decided he used his arm and sent Wes off . But Sam Reed's penalty was poor and Richard Wray made the save. Lee Smith was booked for a foul right on half time . H/T

2nd Half
E's start the second half well and on 48 mins Paul Oshin got Neil Hughes away but he was tripped inside the box ,Mr Leech hesitated and his assistant indicated a penalty . Dean Thomas rammed it home . A spell of Bury pressure and Nick Turner did well to clear off his line at full stretch . A succession of Bury shots were blocked and Lee Smith blasted over. A cross from Owen Beale eluded everyone and the ball just missed the far post. On 54 mins James Hazell with a good persistant run put Neil Hughes clear and he made no mistake driving the ball past Greygoose ,GAME OVER or SO WE THOUGHT ! Danny Cornwell was booked for kicking the ball away (Bury sub Lee Summerscales off for Steve Bugg & Elvis Balic off for Anrew Giles for E's) Steve Bugg shoots over after a good turn and Bury keeper Dean Greygoose got very lucky as a backpass bobbled over his foot but he just made his ground to kick the ball off the line.(Bury sub Owen Paynter off for Ryan Foster & James Hazell off for Sam Judge for E's 65mins)This Was the Turning point ! A shot by Craig Parker was saved by Wray and Steve Bugg puts one over the E's bar , Danny Cornwell's freekick was blocked by E's wall . Bury pulled one back on 68 mins with Steve Bugg's acrobatic overhead kick finding Sam Reed who rifled home into the top corner . Dean Gilbert was booked for a foul ,Richard Wray grabs the ball again under severe pressure from under his crossbar from Reed's cross. On 74 mins Bury reduced the arrears even furthur as Oliver Stroud made a clumsy challenge on Danny Cornwell on the edge of the box and a penalty was given . Steve Bugg's penalty was saved by Richard Wray but Lee Smith was first to it and Bury were right back in the match . Steve Bugg fires over E's bar and Richard Wray somhow keeps out Danny Cornwells shot. Ryan Foster heads over E's bar ,(E's sub John Hind on for Dean Thomas 81mins) With 85 mins gone the inevitable happened with Danny Cornwell heading home Steve Bugg's corner unchallenged 3-3. Bugg fires another over the top and into stoppage time the Bury comback was complete as Danny Cornwell's cross found Steve Bugg with Richard Wray getting a hand on it but Bugg managed to force it home . Att 164

It was a bad turn of events on saturday, but nice to see everyone again ,Who was the tubby bloke with the Roma shirt and the beard who I got chatting to ?,Havent seen him before, but hes a Enfield supporter, Blimey dont he rabbit some. I wish he'd stop bunnying about spurs he reminds me of the bloke at the Townies who I bump into at Liverpool street quite often. last time I saw him he kept talking about meeting Jermaine Defoe {how irritating} . I'm off to st Osyths for a few days so see you soon. Kev.
