According to a comment on the Canvey Forum today, Maldon's Appeal - re a playoff place ( if they qualify ) has been given the green light by the FA.

If true.............what a farse, just like Wimbeledun and their 3 points.

There must be a lesson to learn here....do nothing, cheat the rules, then appeal and win.

Well, Maldon do enough cheating on the pitch.....so I suppose they think they can cheat off it as well.

Unless you're called Tony Lazarou. doh

How come every other club seem win their appeals to the FA,apart from Enfield?

If EFC had been rightly allowed their place in the conference after last winning the Ryman Prem, just think how different history could have been.

If true, what a disgrace!!! It was only in last week's Gazette that a Ryman official confirmed a bye to the seond placed club should Maldon reach a play off place.

In a way it may be better for Town to go into the Final without getting a bye. Our opposition in the last game could be sharper than Town having played in their own semi-final.

At least we now know that there will be no bye and stop resting on our stan laurels! It is the easiest argument in the world you may have sent it in the post or by email but it didn't arrive so we didn't know about it! On the basis of fairness the FA would have had their hands tied at that point.

It Just means the ETFC management will have to prepare properly. Yes there is a first for everything! Only teasing Brutus! Maldon are a route one team. When they came to us we were having a bad day and made them look better than they really are.

Interesting to hear James Bunn is striking for Harlow FC. I'm told he is carrying some extra weight by my spies.

No idea if the info on our forum is true or not, the person who posted it is not a Canvey fan. Like most things posted on these forums it is probably better to wait for something offical rather than getting wound-up by rumours.

Or if we'd (we were "we" then) been elected to Division 4 in 1986?

Good point. We were the last Conference Champions to have to go through the voting farce before automatic promotion came in.

If Horchurch hadn't had their problems in 2005 there would have been a greater chance of ETFC going up as R1N Champions this season!

Bloody dagenham could form a league of their own if they split back into their constituent parts.

The Dagenham farce was like legal asset stripping. The list of clubs fed to the wolves is amazing:-
Walthamstow Avenue
Ilford
Leytonstone/Ilford
Redbridge
How much money was made selling off them grounds and then nicking Redbridge's place in the Conference.
By the way, why couldn't Enfield get promoted to the football league?
