What is the future of our club .. were will we be playing next year. Will terry still be here . I was at the last meeting we have and i see terry runing everything. On saturday i saw him runing about try to get some help.. It was nice to david back. I had a little chat with him , and he said ' that terry had to make the food for match day. Were is tony he should be there helping . All i can see is that terry is runing this club on his own. i have spoken to terry only once and he seem's a nice chap.. I sometimes don't like some of his line ups .. But the money we pay now the players, we have are very good team..COME ON TONY HELP OUT ON MATCH DAY...

Wishful thinking MR.F, you won't see Tone at a game unless Sky are there. If it wasn't for the hard work of a few dedicated supporters (and TB) the club would have disappeared by now.

If only Terry Back was in total charge of the club-I'd be a lot more confident about the long-term future.

There is a big piece on Tony Lazarou in the Enfield Advertiser this week. He suggests that if he is not allowed to 'carry on', then Enfield FC will have to be killed. His words, not mine. I'm afraid to say that the future of EFC looks bleaker than ever if the Chairman goes on record saying the club is worthless. I won't bother going into the rest of his statement because I bet you all have heard its like before on oh so many occasions. I'd better stop before it starts me off on another rant.

can someone from the Enfield fc..please answer me these two questions

1.BY WHAT DATE does the club have to inform the ryman league..as to where we intend to play next season.

2.BY WHAT DATE does the club need to comply with ryman'A' standards for there intended home for next season.

If the dates have not already passed..does the club intend to meet the deadlines....or will we have to gamble on the league being restructured in order to carry on in the ryman premier,or any other league for that matter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a couple of sesons ago we didn't inform the Ryman Lge in time, but escaped with a £3000? fine. Not sure if we can afford it now though.

MKJ, I stand to be corrected but I believe there was a one-off fine PLUS a grand for every game not played at Southbury Road (the registered ground) i.e. every game after the move for the rest of that season.

This should not have been a surprise to Bin Lazarou as the same thing had happened to Bishops Stortford previously. Of course Bin L tried to blame others.

On our next home game we should have a meeting.. Who up for it then.......

I don't think it's quite that simple. I'm sure Tone would like some financial 'payoff', after all, this approach was tried unsuccessfully by those now at ETFC.He said then that he wanted the money back that he had invested into the club. Truth is no one is sure how much Mr.L has put in/taken out, nor what has happened to the funds raised by the sale of Southbury Road.

The Evil One himself says the club is worthless, in this week's local press. So go for it lads, nothing ventured nothing gained.

But as you say, this approach was tried before and ended up in the formation of ETFC.

Just because it's worthless, doesn't mean he won't want money for it. As we already know.

Yes, it may be worthless, but there's still the Supporters Link situation. That's the only reason he hangs on.

Even if you "run the club" that is no guarantee that TL won't just pull the plug anyway (somebody has to find money to run it). TL promised in the past that he would relinquish control of the club to the supporters but no such thing happened. That is why ETFC was formed. Even if you find enough people there who are keen enough to do the job, he won't give you any thanks for it so you may as well just enjoy your time as Enfield supporters and hope that something happens to keep the club alive and get TL to go away. I, for one, didn't have enough patience for that (half a dozen broken promises was enough). If you want to keep the club going on your own terms you really are going to have to hope for a huge slice of luck (the adjourned FA enquiry, perhaps?).

Good luck.

i'd have more faith in Stan Flashman than Lazarou, and yes-more faith in del, alan & the boys on the gate. At least they are there week in,week out.

Pre Lazarou- Conference club
A grade ground with 6000-8000 capacity
Starlight lounge bringing in useful cash
Top non-league players in the squad
Funds available to sign top players
Good reserve and youth team set up
500 hardcore supporters
Potential to get 1000+ crowd for big games

and now- Relegation likely from Ryman Prem
No ground, no likelihood of having one of our own
No extra cash coming in from other sources
Fair squad, but on the lowest wage bill in the prem
No cash available to sign players
50 hardcore supporters at best

How could anyone do worse?

Oh-and while I'm on this rant 3 and a 1/2 years, nothing concrete done by Laz to find a new ground. You make your own mind up.

why don't you get off your back side and offer to help instead of doing nothing and slaging off others who are trying to do something it's more than the four of them that help there are about ten others so as i said before either offer to help or stop moaning about them.

WHEN LAZ GOES THE BEST THING TO DO IS UNITE THE TWO ENFIELD TEAMS AND HAVE JUST ONE TEAM PLAYING IN THE BOROUGH, ALL FRIENDS RE UNITED UNDER ONE UMBRELLA
SOUNDS GOOD TO ME AND I HOPE IT DOES TO EVERYONE ELSE [color:"blue"] [/color]

There may be too much water under the bridge. Don't forget the great thing about ETFC is that it is owned by the fans. There is no way one person will be allowed to control our club and if a merger did ever take place then that management structure would have to be in place for the new entity.

I couldn't agree more. Enfield isn't big enough for 2 clubs, but can sustain 1 top non-league team.I'm not so sure that ETFC can ALWAYS be run by the fans- surely there will come a time when extra investment is needed
