The game has now been re-arranged for Thursday 20th Feb. Kick-off 7:30pm at Ruislip Manor.

Do you not think DJB has done the right thing by informing fans of a re-arranged match on a new thread then?
Or do you think we all have the time to trawl through all the postings to find out simple information. Postings such as the one you made which prompted me to make a reply are childish and irrelevant. It seems to me that you are just having another unneccassary go at a man who is obviously trying very hard to please, and thinking about what is required before deciding what to do. The forum does not revolve around people like you. It is used by a much wider audience than you can ever imagine
Also some of you should be aware of the dangers of exchanging details on the web and using this forum to make private arrangements, using phones or e-mailing eachother direct would be a much better idea.
So before anyone starts the favourite forum game of guess who the author is and call me Derek, I am an E's fan keeping up with the club news as best I can.

I think you are over-exagerrating! By the way , this forum DOES revolve around people like us- we're the ones making posts AND attaching our names to them, rather than remaining Anonymous. If it wasn't for our idle banter, there wouldn't be very many postings on here.
By the way I do think Derek did the right thing by putting match info on a new thread.

Its people like you(not sirop) who needs to grow up cos you are obviously unable to contribute without being abusive. Some consructive comments do not warrant it as the replies from mkj and (stand up the real ) sirop prove. Also it shows that others can use a name by adding a * or something and cause problems. Full marks to sirop for putting it right, but what if he didn't see it ? it doesn't matter whether you are registered or not any one could still be anyone they want to be unless all users are registered. Come on del make this forum members only and stop the idiots abusing it and the supporters.

This thread is pathetic. All these anonposts are just there to wind people up. I don't know Sirop but it is obvious that he wasn't having a dig. Make this forum members only guys and you'll get rid of the crap.

PS I'd love to see the scrap between Sirop and Russ. Are you selling tickets?

Don't you ever go on the St. Albans pages then! I don't think they ever talk about football.TBH I don't think there is any point in making this members only, most people can tell when 'someone' is speaking out of character. I just take ALL anon posts with a pinch of salt. And you should to.
Out of interest are some of the other forums members only?

If the majority want this to be members only then so be it - I'll set up a poll.... soon.

I do have some reservations though insofar as you could just register any old name / write crap / get banned / egister any old name / write crap / get banned / register any old name / write crap / get banned / egister any old name / write crap / get banned / register any old name / write crap / get banned / egister any old name / write crap / get banned / register any old name / write crap / get banned / egister any old name / write crap / get banned ... etc etc etc

It would (1) loose the casual surfer (2) stop spontnaity (spelling ?).

As an example, I love surfing club sites (when I get the time) but so many now require you to register I just leave.

On the main, the last two years have gone fairly well - a couple of over heated 'debates' and only a handful of posts have been deleted. My vote is, for the moment at least, to maintain the status quo.

club sites as in the ones on NLUK ? In my experience, if you are reg'd on one, you are reg'd for them all, hence most of the ETFC & others contingent (ie Stalbans) appear with their usual logged in name [color:"purple"] and [color:"pink"] user id. [color:"blue"]
Nice colours !
