If it found out that it was a Town fan I trust they will be banned from the ground for life.

Not sure about Sudburyroyal's comment about Town being the better side. It was an excellent and very even first half but Sudbury were far better in the second. A deserved win.

Sorry to hear about your coach sudbury royal, there was a very large 'youth' gathering in and around the ground last night which is very unusal for a town game - coincidence? maybe.

Think the game was great for any neutrals watching but at a time when cool heads and positivity were needed sudbury kept there's and town lost theres, stupid mistakes cost us in the 2nd half and we ended up beating ourselves i think rather than sudbury beating us.

We battled til the end and i lost count of the number of shots/headers that went inches wide or pinballed off the keeper and defenders.

On a nother night we could have one easily but we have another trip to brentwood to look forward too now rather than afc wombles.

I am shocked by Sudburyroyal's posting about the coach trouble last night - surely it can't have been a real Town fan who threw it?! I didn't see any trouble after the game but some Towners leaving the ground must have seen the culprits.

AFC Sudbury deserved the win - I hope they beat 'Arlow on Saturday.

One sad thing to report though, was that as we were leaving the ground, someone chucked a brick through the window of the coach. Nobody was hurt.....but the trip home was bloody freezing !However the other 99.9% of fans were brilliant.

As a lot of people stayed to watch the Scosers v Chelski, the coach must have left quite late?

I find it hard to believe any Town fan would do this, but if we ever find out who it was, then a ban from the ground is not enough!

behead

On behalf of the real supporters of Enfield Town, please accept our apologies

I think you will probably find out that there was not a contingent of youths in the ground, outside maybe. They would have had nothing to do with the game. Maybe AFC Sudbury should ask that ETFC should look into this and give an explanation of who could have done this? Not good news for 'our club'.

In terms of the game - 4 goals - unchallenged header, penalty, intercepted cross field ball and beaten for pace. Bets goal of the game, our first.

No silverware this season, but then again, some clubs have never won anything given their long histories.

I felt that Sudbury's changed tactics in the second half won them the match.

The first half they played with a back four and the midfield was overun by our midfield. Second half they changed to a back three and challenged more in the middle.

Did we miss Dave Allen yesterday!

At no point do I believe it was an ETFC fan. I left the car park about 10 mins before the bus....and there were two youths standing at the gate wearing balaclavas....really sinister to us carrot crunchers.....I would hedge bets that it was them

I'm afraid that is par for the course in the inner city jungle that Enfield has been allowed to become over the past decade. As i was driving the 400 yards down Green street after the match on Saturday.I saw 9 people walking down the street with dogs by their side.5 had pitbulls,4 had staffs, and one fella was parading a 15st Bull mastiff.

2 youths in balaclavas. You're lucky mate. They normally come in packs of 8-10 around here.

The problem is that after a good evening, the name of ETFC has been tarnished and it needs dealing with.

The stewards at our games tend to know most people by sight, even if not by name, and I am sure that a radio message would have gone round had there been a group of undesirables in the ground. Our remit does not extend to outside the ground and we do not have enough people to police such an area. As the great Brian Clough once said, ' it's not a football problem, it's a social problem.'

It's a shame really as this negative press is not what anyone wants.

Our lot are simply the local YOOF who sometimes hang about near the ground. They are not associated in any way with our football club .They don't support us, watch us or drink in our bar.Unlike some other clubs lot .

The only Town 'fan' who has ever caused any trouble since our formation,is the fella that turned up at your place. He wasn't seen at any games before that, and has never been seen again.

Blimey, get back in your pram!!! Funny that though if my memory serves me right, and it does, there was another fella whom I spoke to your Chairman about. He said the same answer, then I pointed the fella out...he was stood 5 yards away.....what answer do you think I got then as the subject changed?

That other guy was a real pratt, spoiled a good day.

Anyway you lot going Vase? Your round this year?

Well as long as Abbey have banned the Chavs who came out of your bar at the end of last seasons game and threatened and abused the departing Town fans (including a disabled lad and his brother).Thats the main thing.

Regarding escorting the ref off the pitch. That's just Andy H buttering up the officials with some jokes and his smooth line in chat.It also means he gets to the tunnel a bit quicker.
