This has to be the bost bizarre side affect of a drug I know (curtesy of Penecillin).

Anyone got any other crackers?

Corsydil (?) mouth wash has the same effect - Black tongue, not hairy though. Unless it just reacts with the coffee, red wine and the fags? frown

Some people are allergic to penecillin. My dad can't take it.

Have heard that it discolours your tongue.

If you read of the possible side effects that are often listed on the labels of these drugs you would refuse to take them!!!

I was on an antibiotic for strep throat once, with a potential side effect of death. SCARY!

When I saw the thread title, I thought it was going to be a thread about hangover stories.

What makes me laugh is watching adverts for sleep aids. When they list side effects, and drowsiness is mentioned, I always think, "I would HOPE so!".

I almost dealt with the sore throat after reading that one. I figured I'd eventually get better. Then I decided to be adventurous and try it anyway. I figured I'd either get better more quickly or die, but one way or the other, my throat wouldn't hurt any more. grin

The one that REALLY cracked me up was the warning on a packet of peanuts that said "Warning, MAY contain peanuts." I'd like to hope so, if I had just paid for peanuts!

Ah, nothing else to do with my life other than to hang around waiting for the right place to chuck a comment.
