I hear a remour that the youth teams that used to be part of the club back in the southbury road days are back with the club again, is this ture???

If so, what a great thing it would be to have the youth system back in place for the club as a whole and the youngsters as well.

On a serious note, is there any reason that there's no U-18 team?

Surely that's the key side for bringing on potential first team players.

Players at U-17 are going to have to be exceptional to step straight up into the first team. If they are that good you can bet that they won't be playing for any level 4 team's youth side.

If they don't step straight up they'll have to go and play elsewhere once they reach that age, and will probably be lost to the club that has nutured them. Alternately, they'll give up and be lost.

So they'll give up and be lost then will they ? Looks like we'd better create an under 18s side a bit sharpish then .Thanks for your advice. bs
