Bloody hell! it was cold there tonight but what a roasting we gave them.
An exibition in pure football, I almost felt sorry for the baldy fella, he took more stick than usual.

The noisy lot came up from the other end at half time and they seemed to be in better voice than usual.
Grays were very poor or were we just to good? I would not exprect our under 10's to let their heads drop so easy.

No Charector

I can't stop laughing! To think that the basis of this team was our team last year shows how far we've come. The Canvey team we have at the moment is much better than the trophy winning side, and to beat a first team Grays 6-0 is the proof. Do you remember when Grays were title favourites along with us??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Cold to the point of seeing several brass monkeys walking round in search of a welder, but WHAT A GAME!

Eleven men out there who ALL wanted a piece of the action.

Grays still playing the "hoofing" game to a big lump up front with the legs AND the footballing skills of Bambi.
We were just too good in every department. ALL the ex-Canvey players were eclipsed, and I for one didn't even notice that Vaughan was ever on the pitch, let alone subbed at half time.

Must agree with The Great Eck....a better team now than we have ever seen at the Lane, I think.

All their play come from Stimmo playing left-back, but once the ball had left his feet, it all broke down.

Great to see Dobbo get his first goals for the first team, he had Miller in his pocket again and Rudi to get his first in English football, although I still claim it was Michael Lee's goal and it came off Lee Goodwin, (Rudi was offside anyway!).

I hadn't noticed Vaughan had been taken off either, until several minutes before they announced it. His replacement the little black guy kept falling over whenever he tried to tackle someone, he obviously used all his weight when challenging our back line!

My ratings will be on the website this evening, I'm off to College to gloat to some Billericay fans!!!

Don't mean to be pedantic but should that be Braziers the brass monkeys were in search of?

Anyway, the first ten mins looked dodgy but after the first it was FLOODGATES OPEN. Can honestly say thats the sweetest feeling! Cheer up Mark Simpson, oh what can it mean e.t.c. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm not stalking you mobrien, I just made a mental note of the description you put yourself as and found you in the second half.

Don't worry I've sussed out some people, even pabird and maybe even possibly CANV although I've only seen him once!

Don't let Matt worry you all with his apparent "Sherlock-level" powers of deduction and observation.

The truth is that Merv knows EVERYONE, and points them out to Matt in the bar!

Now, how Merv knows everyone is another question........????

I suspect I remain unknown, especially as I have never frequented the bar.

Rich - you used to play "Sunday League" with my son Andy in a team run by some T**T named George, who thought he was Ron Atkinson.
Training at Waterside and home ground on a bombsite over the back of Rawreth Lane.
