Can`t see there`s anywhere they can go with this. The F.A. gave the Ryman 3 options...

1. Move Mosley across to Ryman North, Mosley protested and were backed by the other clubs.

2. Run Ryman North 1 club short but it`s member clubs didn`t want that.

3. Move another club over and the members voted for Dartford.

The Ryman can`t go against their members and the F.A. don`t have any more options to offer.

I think there is some doubt about whether there is any 'financial clout', or whether the club simply operates as a tenant of the local authority owner of the new site. While the new ground may be great, the model under which Dartford occupy it may not be.

Perhaps that's why they don't want to move.

I am, but many are not! Fortunately we live at the top of a hill. We can see the little river in the valley below, Clifton Beck, a tributary of the Calder which is normally not much bigger than say the Turkey Brook, and yesterday it was a raging torrent about 1.2 to 1.5m higher than usual. The cricket pitch and cricket club car park was flooded, but it is clear today - there were even people playing bowls (on teh bowling greens obviously) last night, the damn things were under water earlier.

It's not so good around Sheffield though.

who says dartford are going to get big gates, should they have a bad start their gates will fall rapidly, chelmsfords gates after the first couple of months of moving to a new stadium were nowhere near what they thought they would get.Their average attendance is only high because of the play off game v ricay and afc wimbledon at home and ricay again in the league
