America's Cup....

Recommended Posts

Alinghi: Alinghi won Race One by 35 seconds and Race Four by 30 seconds

Team NZ: Team NZ won Race Two by 28 seconds and Race Three by 25 seconds

So, even with a catastophic sail tear, the Black boat still looks to be the faster of the two.

Let's hope for a good wind tomorrow.

Grant Dalton live: "sail must have got a slight nick in it as we hoisted it, didn't notice straight away... By the time we did it was too late it blew out so quick, we then made a mistake that we shouldn't have...

"We'll debrief before we think fully about all the aspects.... We very disapointed, shouldn't have happened....

"Alinghi looked like they had their fingers in their ears, it had that kind of feel about it (laughs) but yeah we'll see about that tomorrow."

Dean Barker is stony faced, he's usually pretty stoic but his face looks like granite now.

Still, plenty of reason to feel positive about tomorrow. Alinghi didn't seem THAT fast... Certainly not the thoroughbred that some mysterious pundits were picking to 'smoke us' in heavier conditions. If only that sail hadn't...

Well I missed the saturday commentary due to the last cigarette celebrations in the yeoman.

But the kiwi's lost, so it's 4-2 to Alinghi and they have two match points.

The race is about to start, but I want to watch the French Grand Prix also..... argghhh!

Go the Kiwi's...... Please god.

Therefore Alighi lead TeamNZ by 4 races to 2 in this first to 5 contest.
