5 riders now clear....with 20k left

Voigt is 30 seconds clear of group Burghardt with 20km remaining. More to the point, there are three Frenchman in that first pack of five. They are Halgand, Vasseur and Casar.

Hopes must be high in Marseille of a French win.

Vasseur has beaten Casar by about 3-5cm.

It is his first stage win since stage five of the 1997 Tour de France

The top five in the 10th stage are:
1. Cedric Vasseur (QSI) 229.5km in 5h20’24" (42.977km/h)
2. Sandy Casar (FDJ)
3. Michael Albasini (LIQ)
4. Patrice Halgand (C.A)
5. Jens Voigt (CSC)

12:00 - 171 riders are in the neutral zone before the 182.5km 11th stage of the 2007 Tour. Will a breakaway survive or will the sprinters' teams chase it down on the flat terrain?

180km - Freddy Bichot (Agritubel) and Stephane Auge (Cofidis) launch an early attack but they are swiftly absorbed.

176km - A group of 28 have launched an attack, no surprise that Jens Voigt and Juan Antonio Flecha are involved.

165km - Voigt along with Arroyo, Haussler, Fedrigo, Chavanel, Nuyens, Bennati, Vaugrenard and Siutsou have a 1:20 lead over the peloton. The remaining 19 members of the intial escape are sandwiched in between.
