Essex Thameside Trophy Second Round vs. Concord Rangers, at their place. On a date to be confirmed, but before 31/01/08. I'm looking forward to it already - I've never been to their ground and have been wanting us to play them for ages.

Should be good although the way Concord are playing and the way we played today I reckon they'll probably beat us!!!

It will be a hard game but i feel we have a quality squad as well.

Concord have got some quality players such as Danny Heale and Danny Hazylden who used to play for Grays and East Thurrock and who could still easily do a job at Ryman level.

 

Will be a good game but as Ronin says we have a quality squad so should just about shade it.

I suppose it comes down to how we're doing in the league at the time, as to how much emphasis goes into the cup.

 

I've just looked at the ESL forum and most of them think Concord will win the league. I hope they get promotion this year.

watched concord a bit during pre season.

and in the games i saw they seemed to lack confidence infront of goal. i good passing team who can create chances just cant do anything with the chances if i may say so.

I just hope we take this competition seriously this season, a good cup run is not only good for the clubs profile, its good for the players confidence. And the fans enjoy it too.

Hope we take the Thamesside Trophy a bit more seriously than we did last season. Always a good Trophy to win.

I don't know about any profit from the competition. Do the round winners take any winnings, or just the overall winners? Certainly wouldn't make anything off the gates - 81 vs.Bowers & Pitsea.
