Last night’s Non League Show on BBC London asked the question; “which song should you like your team to run out to?” Someone texted the show to say that Enfield Town should run out to Sparks, “This Town ain’t big enough for the both of us!” Has anyone got any better song suggestions?

I Get Knocked Down Home

We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times:
"Oh Danny Boy
Danny Boy
Danny Boy..."
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times:
"Don't cry for me
Next door neighbour..."
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

Chumbawamba

We had this debate last season about which song to run out too.How about if we all place our suggestions for choice of song on here, and then vote on which is the best?

For me it still has to be THE WHO - Won't Get Fooled Again.Parts of the lyrics sum up our club perfectly.

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

All joking aside, we should have a song that the lads come out to every game. I agree with SL re the Boys are back in town.

That songs a bit too much of a cliche' for me.In fact any song with 'Town' in the title would be as well.

What about the old Rocky theme tune again?

I think that's boring. Why don't we ask the lads in the Team what they would like to run out to OR how about we do like we did a few Season back, if a Supporter want's a certain tune playing then it costs them £10.00 which can go into the "JETS" funds. Arky what do you think?

How about The style Council - Walls Comes Tumbling Down.

Maybe a bit of a message to the away side,as to how good a supporter run club could be.Its also a great uplifting tune.

You dont have to take this crap
You dont have to sit back and relax
You can actually try changing it
I know weve always been taught to rely
Upon those in authority -
But you never know until you try
How things just might be -
If we came together so strongly

Are you gonna try to make this work
Or spend your days down in the dirt
You see things can change -
Yes an walls can come tumbling down!

We've tried going down that route before, and it didn't really work.We do need a regular running-out song.Preferably one that sends a tingle down the spine, when it starts up.

We need a regular running out song and that needs to be a bit of a cliche. something with Town in it is ideal and the Boys are Back in Town has a good beat to get the lads and those that make some noise going.

Some songs have immediately uplifting starts, and/or opening verses. The Boys are back in Town does not.It also may have been an OK song when we first returned to the borough ,but we have been back in Town for nearly 7 years now.

If its 'Town' you want. Its got to be The Jam - Town Called Malice.

The words may not be that relevant, but by god,its got an uplifting start and opening verse. And what with the amount of Chav-ASBO's that frequent the Brimsdown area,it could be quite appropriate.
