Seeing as there is not being much said on this thread I will pipe up!! I would just like to say it was good to see a few townies over at Southend when asked why they were there they said they wanted to see a team who could keep a clean sheet!! I kid you not!

Ask that question when we have a full team out Lovely Stuff ;o) even without a full team and changes we can still keep a clean sheet! as you have reasons down for not doing so well to changes to the side trailists etc etc YAWN YAWN excuses are for losers!

Forgive me if i'm mistaken, but we havn't played a competative game yet. shocked
I'm confident of a win tommorow ,followed by our usual challange for the top spots.

Ps..i wouldn't criticize all those annual trialists of ours that arn't up to scratch, some might well be you fellow teammates in a few weeks time.On that subject,do give my regards to Hughsey and Butler. wink

I wouldnt call them not up to scratch just some players arent what managers look for and some managers can get the best out of players ala Hughsey and Butler.

As i have said before it is no point keep getting near the top if you lose in the play offs

Butler will be a good signing IF he plays regulary and keeps fit.If he has niggley injuries and is in-and-out of the side, his game goes downhill.

Hughsey is great lad.I liked his attitude and humour during the short time he was at the Town. His keepy-uppies during the half-time break were legendary. He also knows where the goal is, and can tuck the ball away well. The trouble is,he lacked the pace and strength needed to cut it as a Ryman forward.I also doubt he will get much change out of the big defenses of the top 3 or 4 ESL teams.Although i can see him tucking a few away past the lesser teams.

Well so far both are doing very well for us and hughsey is exactly what we need against the big defenses because they hate playing against small skillful players!
