Well wot can i say about the way we played to day that won't be taken off this board we lost to a very pore Hayes side we had no defense, midfield was over run and out passed, and the attack couldn't convert the chances we had (not that we had that many). We looked like a team who new that they could not stop us going down. and when is Terry going to see that Ansah Awusu is just not up to the job he is employed to do (play football at this level) surely all the fans cant be wrong and when are Stanley M Dennis and Jeff Hammond going to get a chance as they are not going to get the experience when they are not getting a full game or even a place on the bench and please hopefully Mark Palmer will be back in goal soon

.. You can say anything you like! The only things that get removed are swear words - the board software does that - and

Sorry chaps, I'd like to apologise for Saturday's defeat. Some people will tell you that we didn't play well as a team, some will say we were lacking in pace, others might ridiculously claim we were beaten by a better team, but the truth is it was my fault because....

Hayes-Every time I've watched us play them, home or away, we've lost.

Harrow-Never seen the E's get a point against them either.

Hitchin -I've seen us draw with them once, love the town, but every time i go there we lose.

Heybridge- Never been there, but again, never seen us beat them at home.

Hampton- 100% defeat record away again!

Hendon-Never ever seen us get a point at Claremont Road either. But I have seen us beat them once at Southbury Road.

I think you can see what these teams have in common, this is my personal record for teams with H just since 1996

Played 21 Wins 1 Draws 6 Defeats 14 For 12 Against 41

And it doesn't end there! I've seen Northampton play Huddersfield 4 times & Hartlepool away and guess what, 1 point and 1 goal to show for it!

I'd say our form has never been that bad so I guess it must be something I'm doing wrong. Please tell me that our last game of the season isn't Hitchin!

As you can imagine i'm not so keen to go to Haringey Borough now! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

If the theme of that side is what I think it is then Leroy Whale does not belong. How about Phil Simpson? Apart from anything else he's actually a midfielder and not a centre-forward.

And I assume your substitute is Leroy May, rather than David.

Yes, my apologies, I never saw him play in the flesh, only on TV and I guess it was mistaken identity. He was the only 1 I needed to give balance to the team.I don't really want to say anything about this apart from that I'm just trying to prove someone wrong in their argument. And yes-Leroy May.Does that mean there are 2 sub keepers on the bench? I realized afterwards that I left Traore out of the squad, looks like Dunwell will have to miss out.

Leroy only played in goal in an emergency. Steve Hilton's the only real goalie on the bench.

I'd put Trevor Savage at right back and use Darren Annon to solve your midfield problem, or move him to left back.

I'd also put Paul Furlong ahead of Danny Alleyne.

Not a bad squad.

I'd forgotten Furlong! Still doing the business even now. I knew about Leroy, I was at Sutton that day. didn't watch many games between 88-95, so I can't really say anything about Savage.

Trevor played from about 1982 to 1984 or 85 before retiring because of a dreadful knee injury. He was only about 24, I think, at the time.

An excellent right-back who could also play centre-back if needed.

Before my time. His name was familiar. When did you start supporting the E's then Tom? More importantly, why did you stop? We can't let him win!
