From the Northants Evening Telegraph

Rushden & Diamonds boss Garry Hill has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association.

His actions at the end of last weekend's clash with Salisbury - when he was alleged to have headbutted Tommy Widdrington - have landed him and his club in hot water.

A statement released by the FA this afternoon read:

Salisbury City FC and Rushden & Diamonds FC have been charged by The FA following a mass confrontation during their Blue Square Premier encounter at Salisbury City's Raymond McEnhill Stadium on 8 September.

Both clubs were charged with failing to ensure that their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, and have until September 25 to respond.

Rushden & Diamonds manager Garry Hill has been charged with violent conduct in relation to an incident involving Salisbury assistant manager Tom Widdrington after the final whistle. He has until 26 September to respond.
