What pants we were! 1st half NOT one shot at goal NOT one!!!
Good goal from Harrow though, must have been 25 yards out!
The second half was an improvement BUT not that much, we were better had a few shot's at goal hit the cross bar and didn't take one chance unlike Harrow did! The way we played last night we are going to hammerd by sutton they are a far better side than Harrow and we just couldnt score against them.
The only up beat comment I can say is that Stanley got just over 45 min's on the pitch and looked very good, got in some good places and took on a few of there players, keep it up Stan!!!
Paul Armstrong you are, a good player, lot's of skill but pleaseeeee STOP moaning ALL the bloody time it cant be good for the team when all you go is dig at them.

Come on E's if we are going down, let's go down FIGHTING not like a bunch of wimp's!!!!!

Just to add to that Stanley is only 17! So why does Armstrong alway shout at him when he get's a game/or gets on???
Anyway I also wanted to say that we are as good as down now, I cant see us getting out of the "mess" we are in. Yes I know we still have what 9/10 games but the way the team played last night v's another bad team was shocking!
Am also a bit upset with Braithwaite what has happened to him??? he was on fire a while ago and the last 4-5 games he has looked poor. Sorry for the moan but it had to be said!

It's still in our hands- 5 home games left all against relegation rivals if we don't win at least 4 of them then we deserve to go down. I'm not expecting us to get anything away except perhaps at heybridge though- so we have to win those games. If we play like we did at St. Albans we might scrape a draw at Sutton.
I thought we played alright yesterday-but Harrow knew how to defend and wouldn't let us play,. All the games are going to be like that, only Bedford & sutton have nothing to play for- when Richardson hit the bar you just knew we weren't gonna get anything last night.

* who wrote that page at the back of last nights programme, licking Lazarous backside.

rarely have i read something so laughable....i worry about the sanity of the person who wrote.

It started out as a statement, telling us Enfield were on the verge of buying a ground...but then lost the plot, spouting wild claims and accusations.

Even (poison PENN) would have felt embarassed, writing such drivel.

At least the new signings look promising- Joe Deeney should play Saturday-signed from Luton I believe.Danny Honeyball I've heard of from Aylesbury

As for the programme notes,I wonder if it was the same guy who wrote this...

No, not appropriate. A waste of time, and a waste of everyone elses time having to read it. Don't waste anymore of your time by doing it. Soon no one will be bothered to come on to this site just to read such rubbish. Get a life, and stop boring people on here. It is not bantar, it incites hate and is libalous.

I've only made it to one game this year so far (Chesham...good win) and last night I didn't go on the flip of a coin. By the sounds of it I had more fun with the PS2 anyway!

It's a sad state of affairs (said in a armchair football manager kinda way) and this morning I ironically (ironic because of last nights' result, this season generally and the whole sad history over the past 5 years), anyway, ironically I saw Papa Laz in Winchmore Hill. I had to restrain myself from doing anything (abuse or violence) and took pride that I didn't let the 'unprincipled' f*ck get the better of me. I have to admit I was actually suprised to see him, in fact it took three double takes b4 I was convinced. How does he still have the balls to come anywhere near Enfield, personally I would be to embarrassed and maybe even a bit worried about the events that have taken place over the past few seasons - on and off the pitch. And for me that says something about the man, not that he's so hard that he's not scared, but that he's so arrogant, self satisfying and ignorant of how today's fans feel about the team, the club and...the past few seasons that he probably doesn't understand why he should be ashamed of his time as club chairman.

History will record how he was responsible (even if he only claims partly) for the demise of EFC, founded 1893 - died 2003(?) After 110 years of football in the north of London, this 'amazing' man apparantly seems to have no problems with killing off a community of football supporters, pretty much single-handedly destroying the foundations of the club and leaving future generations (including those of his own family) with nothing but excuses for his own failings.

I hope when he eventually dies the Enfield papers run his obituary so the whole borough are aware of what may be possibly one of the most sad, unsuccessful and two-faced human lives to unforunately grace planet Earth.

If the club survives it will be inspite, not because, of Papa Laz.

You didn't miss much Robsy, they made it difficult to watch with their sly fouls and over-physical approach. We need some of that though right now.
If you can try and make it next Saturday, we've got 2 'must win' games coming up.

You will be lucky to get anything away at Sutton on Saturday, we are a team in form at the moment winning 4 of our last 5 games, conceeding just the 1 goal. However you may be heartned to know that it was in ouor 1-0 defeat at Bishop Stortford. See you on Saturday.

Sutton still have a lot to play for - at least 3rd place and also Aldershot and CI still have to come to us.
St Albans and Purfleet our next two games after you. However we are such a young side that anything can happen we could beat Aldershot one week then lose to Hampton the next - see for yorself tomorrow which team turns up!!

I don't know if you 2 Sutton fans are still on here- but I don't think you'll find St.Albans & Purfleet as easy as you think they'll be. Both of them are chasing 3rd place as well.

What we lack in ability we make up in effort. You're not going to get 3pts. on a plate tomorrow.

I was at the game on wednesday and apart from the last 15 to 20 minutes when we showed loads of heart it was not a great game.

Who did it take us so long to have a go at them, they were not one of the best sides in the league they lost to ETFC not so long ago and we should have beaten them as well.

With, Aylesbury, Bishops Stortford, Braintree and Hitchin still to come at home and Heybridge Swifts away all being around the bottom with us we should be able to pick up plenty of points.

Looking at the league table anyone from Maidenhead down who are on 44 points could still be pulled into the relegation places.

You weren't all that good today really, were you? Saying that we weren't much bettwr <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> but i think we deserved the 3 points in the end.
I don't think Purfleet or St Albans (especially St Albans) are walkovers, but we are playing them both this week. Mind you i wouldn't of thought Hendon would be as umimaginative as they were against us last week.

BTW Enfield playing style hasn't changed much has it?
