Sorry to be sooooo down beat but again can not see the E's getting anything tomorrow, I really hope we do but really dont think so.
If we play like anything near what we did against Harrow then I can see 3 or 4 going in for Sutton. However if we hold firm then who know's.

There is a caoch going to Sutton, it leave's from eros at 11am.

P.s I know it's on the main Enfield site about the coach just thought I would put it on hear as well. (that's for the knob who got loud last time I put that up!!! )

They're not all that Rob.Now if we were playing Aldershot tomorrow I'd be worried. We are good enough to get a point there at least- as you say we've got to hold firm.

Personally i think we can beat you heavily tomorrow, however as been proved against some teams this season, including the 1st half against you this season, we can struggle against teams battleing relegation. Who knows it may be like the Sutton-Enfield games of old.

BTW Who plays in goal for you now?

Marc Palmer- signed from East Thurrock I think. A good keeper. You'll have to play well to get many past him.

By the way how come Sutton doesn't have a forum?

Sutton 2 Enfield 1

Dodgy game dominated IMO by Enfields negative tactics, but still a fair result

Wasn't a great game was it. I guess you shaded it in the end- great free kick to win the game. I thought we played quite well in the first half, but didn't do much in the second. And your keeper gets hurt easy doesn't he!

But I still think we'll finish above the bottom 4.

It was a terriable game. Wasn't that impressed with Enfield to be honest, but then i wasn't impressed with Sutton either took another Bolty special to win the game. Still think Matt Gray's goal should have stood (bit like Hartson's yesterday).
You would go down easily if you had been clattered by some by more than one person after coming down from collecting the ball.

A finish above the bottom 4 aint looking likely for you really is is?

The first challenge in the first half he was brushed in the face (if that) and he was down for about 2 minutes. And the ginge no. 6 (i've forgot his name) had to have a word with the ref. Not that it makes any difference- after another free-kick goal from Howellsy we should have held on for a point. 2 games on the bounce we've been done by free-kicks (albeit well-taken ones)
We can play football as well- I'm assuming we went for the long ball option because of the pitch, although i've seen passing teams play on worse- except hendon obviously!
Out of interest do you still have the goalkeeping god that is Andy Pape on your books?

Pape has had to retire through injury.
The pitch is indeed crap, but still it's home

A shame, in my mind he was by far the best keeper below the Conference. Must be about 40-45 by now though! He was playing for Enfield almost 20 years ago!

Not the worst pitch I've ever seen.

From what I've heard Andy still hopes to resume playing once he's had another shoulder op.

And he's 'only' 41 this month.

I understand Papey was 'advised' to retire by the people who did his last op.

Nothing to stop him seeing another specialist and getting a second opinion tho.........

Does anyone know if his operation went ahead as planned? (I think he said he was having it at the end of march).
