Speaking to a few of the Enfield last, sherwin did play and apparently looked quality up top with the new bloke, although he didn't score caused loads of problems.

The conditions last night were a joke, like the previous post said we had a few chances first half...but Enfield showed there quality second half.......the slope was a big factor second half as well with the pitch getting worse clearing the line was like trying to empty a swimming pool with a pint glass..!!

Enfield looked sharp and good going forward although not so steady at the back..... Concord Vs Enfield should be an absolote corker..!!

Enfield 4-0 Southend Manor

A match played in awful weather as the heavens opened just before kick off.

First chance on 2 mins as Southend's Dave Flynn let fly from 20 yards but it just went wide . A good run from Sherwin Stanley on 4 mins and a fine pass to E's Debutant Chris Thomas but Adam Seal did well to save it. On 6 mins the deadlock was broken as Sherwin Stanley again slipped past a challenge and put Chris Thomas through and he placed the ball perfectly past the advancing Adam Seal 1-0 E's. A shot from Adilson Lopes soon followed but Adam Seal was equal to it. Southend responded with Dave Tubb's shot which rebounded off Steve Wright's post ,Chris Green did well to block the follow up . A freekick from Wes Borghys was saved by Adam Seal on 15 mins. Steve Wright did well to save a shot from Aaaron Baldwin on 16 mins. Adilson Lopes shot was blocked by John Whetstone on 18 mins . Steve Wright was out quickly to smother at Martin Stanton-Hope's feet on 20 mins. A shot by Aaron Baldwin went wide on 25 mins . A good cross from Chris Thomas found Ricardo Armado but his shot was blocked 29 mins. An error by Chris Wilson let in Sherwin Stanley but Adam Seal was out quickly to save 33 mins. Steve Wright made a good claim to grab Chris Wilson's freekick as three Southend forwards converged around him 42 mins . H/T

2nd half In the opening moments Sherwin Stanley teased his markers and slipped over a fine cross and Graeme Butler arrived at the far post and with a neat piece of control sidestepping a defender he rammed the ball home 2-0 E's. A good try by Aaron Baldwin from a tight angle but it went wide 50 mins. (Southend Double sub Ryan Page & Mark Sisson on for Gary Hickey & Grant Khory-Davidson 51mins) On 55 mins some excellant control from Paul Oshin and a well weighted delivery to Chris Thomas and from 25 yards he lobbed the advancing Adam Seal 3-0 E's . (Southend sub Wilf Msiska on for John Whetstone 56 mins & for E's Neil Hughes on for Sherwin Stanley 57 mins) Ricardo Armado puts Neil Hughes away but Adam Seal saves on 60 mins, Neil Hughes again gets in on goal but Adam Seal again saves 64 mins. A powerful drive from Graeme Butler was blocked and from the resulting Graeme Butler corner Wes Borghys heads goalwards but a defender diverts his header into Adam Seal's top corner 4-0 E's 65 mins. Neil Hughes puts Chris Thomas away but Adam Seal does well to save 68 mins. (E's subs Kevin Riley on for Adilson Lopes 74 mins & Carl Robinson replaces Wes Borghys 76 mins) A good run out wide from Sean Clarke and he lets fly from 25 yards but it just cleared Adam Seal's crossbar by a whisker 79 mins ,Ricardo Armado's shot was blocked on 80 mins ,A moment of amusement for everyone as Referee Mr Oldershaw took a point blank Carl Robinson clearence straight in his "private's" (He needed a few moments to get his breath back) Steve Wright did well to beat out a dipping Dave Flynn corner on 86 mins. Mark Whittington does very well to intercept a cross from Wilf Msiska on 88 mins . Last chance as Sean Clarke blazes over the top right on time.

E's 1 Steve Wright 2 Mark Whittington 3 Graeme Butler 4 Paul Oshin 5 Wes Borghys 6 Chris Green 7 Sean Clarke 8 Adilson Lopes 9 Sherwin Stanley 10 Chris Thomas 11 Ricardo Armado subs 12 Neil Hughes 14 Kevin Riley 15 Lee Benmore 16 Carl Robinson 17 Ashley Harris

Southend Manor 1 Adam Seal 2 Chris Wilson 3 Grant Khory-Davidson 4 Dave Tubbs 5 Gary Hickey 6 John Whetstone 7 Dave Flynn 8 John Easterford 9 Martin Stanton-Hope 10 Ross Webster 11 Aaron Baldwin subs 12 Dave Birnie 14 Craig Davies 15 Wilf Msiska 16 Mark Sisson 17 Ryan Page.
