Afternoon, everyone, Alex Sharp here, I’ve finally found the fabled forum everyone speaks about! Well what an afternoon, I think my best day (so far!) as Hornchurch Chairman, so proud of everyone involved with the club, in really difficult circumstances we put on a show yesterday, on and off the pitch, this is a very special team we are building here and irrespective of what happens with the League next week, it’s been an honour to watch these fellas get better and better every game they play. So many have said it but they left nothing out there yesterday, I saw players exhausted walking off t

  2. County fan here! Many, many congratulations on your deserved progress to Wembley. Your performance on Saturday epitomises what football and Cup competitions are about for us all. I will admit I thought we'd thrash you, but I am delighted you triumphed in the manner you did for your Club and it's supporters, whilst setting an example of playing with hope and desire. All at Notts, I am sure, will have one eye on The Wembley result and sincerely hope you succeed in achieving the dream!! Well done!

  4. I’m sorry, but this is outrageous. This season I’ve been extremely grateful for (and greatly impressed by), the streaming services for our games offered for free by Hampton & Richmond, Tonbridge Angels and Dulwich Hamlet. Nothing beats being at the match itself, but those clubs put in a tremendous effort so that we could watch the games. The Supporters Association recognised the benefits that these services provide and have spent a significant sum of money so that we could offer both our own and Kings Lynn’s fans the same. We all recognise that we are unlikely to see live footb

I said i'd be back. and here I am. nearly 48 hours on and I am still delirious and giddy over the whole miracle at meadow lane. not sure if was the camera angle or what, but that pitch looked massive and when we went a goal down, the players were blowing hard and I feared we were about to get our backsides handed to us in a brutal way. however. that parcell block. it was a certain goal, but that block defined the entire match for me. blood and guts defending, passion and belief shown everywhere on the pitch. wright pulled off one of the greatest saves ever. the leadersh

I just can't get enough I just can't get enough I just can't get enough I just can't get enough seriously though - well done to the players and staff and legendary groundsmen and our leadership, I am just so happy. it was a strange old match, I don't actually think we were all in the same half when Maidstone made it 4-4. I am so bloody proud of our little pub team from Essex who are keeping the football season alive. thankyou for today Hornchurch. as for the debut youtube stream. volume aside, the commentary was excellent and pitched at just the right l

  8. first and foremost - get well soon dibs. I get that all football clubs are losing revenue and are struggling, but to me the £12 price tag is a tad excessive, particularly when you bear in mind that a nowtv 24hr sky sports pass will get you 11 channels you can watch on 2 devices at the same time at pretty high quality for £9.99. do Kings Lynn really think this is any sort of value for money and that if someone wants to watch sport, that they'll spend more to watch them rather than sky? If any football club is going to survive the current crisis, it will be reliant on the goodwill and t

  9. I'm in total disagreement that we should be charging fans the privilege of £12 to watch a game that cannot be attended in person. Let's not forget the good will gestures of Dulwich Hamlet, Tonbridge Angels and Hampton & Richmond for streaming the respective FA Trophy and FA Cup games free of charge. In my opinion, as we are the home team the final say should be with us, the club, as to whether we charge or not although I know that cannot be the case.

  10. Well done to Mark, his coaching staff and the squad for today's incredible achievement against all the odds - you've done the club and yourselves proud. You will always be remembered at Hornchurch FC as legends. Well done also to Colin, Alex, Jordan, Ken, anyone from the Supporters' Association etc etc etc. I've missed out loads of names and some I don't know, but you know who you are and, as someone who saw his first Hornchurch match in around 1982 and where pretty much every season the hope of getting to a Wembley final would be dashed by around mid-October, rest assured you have my u

  14. Also, the rationale behind the donation approach certainly wasn't to "pull a fast one". We had visited Hampton & Richmond in the FA Cup, along with Tonbridge Angels and Dulwich Hamlet in the Trophy. All 3 National South sides streamed for free with an optional donation element. As an example, Dulwich's justgiving page for their stream: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dhfctv We never looked at these free streams as money lost, nor did we expect to take a cut of their donations, we were just extremely pleased that our supporters could get to watch their team in a behind

  15. As a Kings Lynn fan, its great that you are trying to put the game on for free., we get ripped off almost every week, the programme for our 1st game cost £15. Stick to your guns, you will have the backing of a lot of Lynn fans, we would love it to be free!

  16. It’s a no for me on pure principle basis the £12 fee they mention I assume they want some/all of it ? So from their greed not only do our fans suffer theirs do too! You really would think that in troubled world we all live in today that a smaller club (apparently) trying to bring some cheer to people free of charge they would endorse it not try and prevent it. Twitter here I come Ps well done the SA getting the equipment together and paying the cost class act

  17. Quite frankly I find it ridiculous they are requesting this. We are the smaller club with the smaller budget who were going to stream the game for free yet they are demanding a fee! Let’s not forget the supporters association paid just short of £1000 to get this game out to the fans free of charge! I am fully against Kings Lynns proposal.

With the move to Tier 2 restrictions here in Havering and the potential economic impact that this will bring as we approach winter, the Supporters Association has agreed that we will now collect foodbank donations at each home game, rather than on a monthly basis. Contributions can be left at the Track & Trace stations or Clubhouse entrance. Recent behaviour

After speaking with club officials this morning I think it’s only right the a few things are cleared up in relation to this. The club does not condone foul and abusive behaviour towards players, officials or staff and has reiterated this the last few years and with a number of posters around the ground highlighting this. The behaviour last night was not acceptable, we know who is responsible and the persons involved will be spoken too. I understand that people can get frustrated at games, myself included and some things are directed at players etc. Whilst this happens at all gam

The spirit within the team to keep coming back, despite being behind or instantly pegged back, was incredible. Also, well done to all involved in the Livestream. It has been a hugely nervous few days, but well done to Jordan and Billy for the stream and camera work. The feedback I've had from neutrals was all really positive. It pains me to say so, but Luke and Jago also deserve huge credit. I've no idea what bollocks they chatted, but massive kudos for having the ba

Having read some of the comments on there I feel as though some explanation is needed - - Hornchurch Supporters Association is a non profit part of the club who support the club and raise money for charity as well as fundraising for community projects. - we spent near on £1000 of our money to buy the camera, microphones etc to film games for our fans. (Kings Lynn Game would have been the 1st) - these games were going to be streamed for FREE to

Thanks Luke. If as much energy had gone into encouraging our own players as was directed at opposition players and the referee in the form of abuse, then we might have won last night. Abuse thrown at opposition players only makes them more determined in my opinion - I hope I'm not the only one who can see that. I'll shut up now.

  29. Dear All, Apologies for the confusion yesterday with this but I can now confirm this is going ahead!! This year unfortunately the annual cricket game cannot go ahead due to certain restrictions put on the cricket club by the ECB so instead we have something different planned..... Sunday 30th August at the football club the bar will be open and there will be a bbq on the go too! We will also have rounders set up on the pitch as well as access to a quick cricket set. This is a family event so bring your friends, bring your children, bring you family and let’s raise some funds

We have a fantastic club and management team and amazing Fans too and in my 8 seasons coming to the Urchins I never dreamed we would ever get to Wembley and I know many of you have been here longer and remember the buzz of the Weymouth FA Cup tie an beyond but this is so out of this world it's amazing. I am a lucky enough person to be able to spend some time around the First team and all I can say is we have an amazing bunch of players who have such a strong team bond that they have carried the flag for this team all the way to Wembley at

    Celebration

When I was with Canvey they made it to the final up at Aston Villa. After they won I was the only photographer who went back to Park Lane for the celebrations. I remember the day well. Mind you I hired a stretch limo to go north in style! I really hope you all have a fantastic day / might. One day I will return and invest in the club - I guarantee that!

What a fantastic result for the players I am so pleased that all the hard work paid off and at least we have our own highlights to watch as I most certainly do not want to listen to the dismissive and rather derogatory comments towards our team all game from Darlington's commentary picking at his goal v Maidstone and suggesting they were going to run the lads off the park which thoroughly came back to haunt them with an outstanding performance by the Urchins. From that first whistle the lads hustled and fought over every part of the pitch, moved the ball around better and dominated the ga

As before, the draws will take place every 2 weeks. The draw will be done live with 50% of the prize money going to the winner. The remaining funds will be going towards helping the club through these difficult times, to support our live streaming and to our ground improvement fund once we are allowed to spend time at the stadium. Tickets will cost £1 a ticket or the famous match day price of 6 for £5. How it Works? V

A great team effort, the sending off was a mixture of rash tackle and the Tonbridge player's to a man surrounding the ref, something we don't do, but do you have to start.we lifted our game and remy was positive when he came on. Ruff and Nash seem to have clicked straight away , Jordan Clark just gets better every game no matter what position. I thought muldoon looked solid in central midfield, it’s just a shame with all the disruption that we have assembled a great squad that will challenge for the title but may well not get the opportunity to do so. Sorry we have not attended any home matches this season but Jean is slowly getting over her stroke and we have my mother living with us. At 97 she is very active but she has not been out since April and we have to be careful not to bring home any infections. So for a while we are self isolating as a precaution. 'Don't see him fighting off the job offers!' Disappointing, though entirely predictable, that you should be taking cheap shots so soon at a man who has done so much, and is so well-respected, at your Club. That you should choose to do this does, of course, say far more about you than it ever could about him.
