  1. I’m sorry, but this is outrageous. This season I’ve been extremely grateful for (and greatly impressed by), the streaming services for our games offered for free by Hampton & Richmond, Tonbridge Angels and Dulwich Hamlet. Nothing beats being at the match itself, but those clubs put in a tremendous effort so that we could watch the games. The Supporters Association recognised the benefits that these services provide and have spent a significant sum of money so that we could offer both our own and Kings Lynn’s fans the same. We all recognise that we are unlikely to see live footb

  2. first and foremost - get well soon dibs. I get that all football clubs are losing revenue and are struggling, but to me the £12 price tag is a tad excessive, particularly when you bear in mind that a nowtv 24hr sky sports pass will get you 11 channels you can watch on 2 devices at the same time at pretty high quality for £9.99. do Kings Lynn really think this is any sort of value for money and that if someone wants to watch sport, that they'll spend more to watch them rather than sky? If any football club is going to survive the current crisis, it will be reliant on the goodwill and t

  3. I'm in total disagreement that we should be charging fans the privilege of £12 to watch a game that cannot be attended in person. Let's not forget the good will gestures of Dulwich Hamlet, Tonbridge Angels and Hampton & Richmond for streaming the respective FA Trophy and FA Cup games free of charge. In my opinion, as we are the home team the final say should be with us, the club, as to whether we charge or not although I know that cannot be the case.

  4. Also, the rationale behind the donation approach certainly wasn't to "pull a fast one". We had visited Hampton & Richmond in the FA Cup, along with Tonbridge Angels and Dulwich Hamlet in the Trophy. All 3 National South sides streamed for free with an optional donation element. As an example, Dulwich's justgiving page for their stream: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dhfctv We never looked at these free streams as money lost, nor did we expect to take a cut of their donations, we were just extremely pleased that our supporters could get to watch their team in a behind

  5. As a Kings Lynn fan, its great that you are trying to put the game on for free., we get ripped off almost every week, the programme for our 1st game cost £15. Stick to your guns, you will have the backing of a lot of Lynn fans, we would love it to be free!

  6. It’s a no for me on pure principle basis the £12 fee they mention I assume they want some/all of it ? So from their greed not only do our fans suffer theirs do too! You really would think that in troubled world we all live in today that a smaller club (apparently) trying to bring some cheer to people free of charge they would endorse it not try and prevent it. Twitter here I come Ps well done the SA getting the equipment together and paying the cost class act

  7. Quite frankly I find it ridiculous they are requesting this. We are the smaller club with the smaller budget who were going to stream the game for free yet they are demanding a fee! Let’s not forget the supporters association paid just short of £1000 to get this game out to the fans free of charge! I am fully against Kings Lynns proposal.

  8. Morning to you and thanks for commenting on our post. Unfortunately I am not a member on your linnets forum but am guessing you may be? Having read some of the comments on there I feel as though some explanation is needed - - Hornchurch Supporters Association is a non profit part of the club who support the club and raise money for charity as well as fundraising for community projects. - we spent near on £1000 of our money to buy the camera, microphones etc to film games for our fans. (Kings Lynn Game would have been the 1st) - these games were going to be streamed for FREE to

    New year

Best wishes to all our supporter's for the new year, not sure where we are going, but I know you lot will be there when we start again. Also all the tickets are sold for tonight's new years eve party, so no gatecrashers

  10. As Andy and Luke said above, the SA were 100% not looking for a money earner. It was to cover some of the funds we have spent to buy the equipment for this fixture (nearly £1000). It was a planned optional donation only as per Dulwich, Hampton and Dulwich

  12. So at a time when a little bit of good will to all men has been taking place across non league football and the national league with many clubs live streaming for free we find Scrooge exists in the form of Ling's Lyn FC. An absolute disgrace to be demanding any money to show games when they have a nice little lump of TV money from BT Sport to look forward to having already been show live. I am not happy paying for this just to satisfy Scrooge FC desire to make money! But I am more than happy to donate the cost of entry to the Urchins! Hopefully you will be able to film the match an

  13. Who the f**k do they think they are?!! They are the away team and we are offering to view the game for free not just to Hornchurch supporters but to Kings Lynn and actually probably to anyone else who wants to watch a game of football. Why are they dictating what we want to do about our live streaming? Personally they can go shove their offer right up their arrogant arses!! Can Hornchurch speak to the FA regarding this?

  14. Echo what everyone had said already. The commitment from everyone was fantastic and even with a slightly depleted squad and only fielding 4 subs we put that full time lot to shame. The quickness we broke away definitely didn't look like it was from a team that hadn't played competivly for quite some time. No easy draw left now but let's get the smallest team left please and then once we can all get back in the ground a slightly bigger one for the semi. This money is really going to be useful in keeping the squad together I hope! Congratulations everyone.

  18. I agree with what appears to be the majority of the Urchin faithful. If the cost of showing Kings Lynn that their stance is selfish and appears purely money-led is that I can’t watch my favourite team, them so be it!

  19. Reject the idea. Can’t believe they are acting as absolute prats. It’s bad enough them being classed as ELITE. Absolute joke. Full appreciation to the SA for getting the gear as a way forward, so let’s Stick it up em!!!!

  20. Selfish . Have any other team asked for a fee when streams have been made available. Do they realise the supporters association have payed out a lot of money to get this game on youtube

  21. Absolutely outrageous and downright selfish on their part. I appreciate that football clubs are struggling for money but some people have lost their jobs and can’t afford to pay £12 at the moment. The idea of live-streaming it for free was surely so people can enjoy watching the game and donate what they can afford, whether that be nothing or full ticket price.

  22. Ian Bates was around 39 when that was filmed and I've never ever said he was dynamic 😃 He was just a good old fashioned honest loyal non league footballer that are a dieing breed these days. Ian Bates has given over half of his life to Wembley FC on and off the pitch. Ian Bates and Terry Venables have played and managed in very different worlds remember that.

    Dulwich

Another hard fought win in awful conditions. The bad injury to Nash (get well soon) effectively made us slightly disjointed on the left but we held on and apart from the couple of mins of onslaught right at the end we were fairly comfortable dealing with everything Dulwich had. Thought our midfield were great pressing Dulwich and winning the second balls. The winnings from these games will no doubt be helping in these testing times to Let's hope for a nice draw in the next round to get some more in.

  27. King's Lynn Town are classed as an elite team as they are in the Conference (National) League. As such, they have been allowed to continue to train and play, and they get a substantial grant that is intended to cover their losses. Amounts paid to KL not known, but the maximum awarded was reported to be £93,000 and the minimum was £30,000 (per month) - I do not know how much wen to KL. But I do know how much went to Hornchurch (absolutely nothing at all). The National League also stream their matches, and the usual charge is £12 per match, but for the Trophy KL had the choice of a fre

  35. Show's there are desperation and clearly a money hoarder. I disagree with the payment, there's already BT and Amazon out there but why charge livestream when it's non-league football? I can't get my head around it. Selfish is the simple description.

  36. Smacks of a bit of desperation on Kings Lynns part to me, nobody else has gone down this route previously and all the games have been broadcast by goodwill. I think we should tell them to shove their idea where the sun doesn't shine and let their supporters see what their Club is really like and obviously don't think too much of their own fan base. A no from me.

National League South Slough Town have made a lengthy statement on their website questioning whether it is morally right to expect Club's to continue playing given the current situation and with Covid cases in Slough and surrounding Berkshire areas escalaiting: Club statement | The Official website of Slough Town FC - latest news, photos and videos Whilst much of the nation works from home, frontline key workers continue to fulfil their essential roles. Leighton Town

Leighton Town made the trip to the Recreation Ground on Saturday 26 September 1992 for a 1992/93 Diadora Isthmian League Division Three fixture, having won the South Midlands Premier Division the season before and got promotion. Aldershot Town obviously won the Championship only losing two League fixtures however Leighton Town weren't that far behind in fourth place and only lost the game at the Recreation Ground 2-1 in front of 2,104, they were one of the two teams who beat Aldershot that season, winning 1-0 at Bell Close, on Saturday 30 January 1993, in front of 1,522, does anybody remember

    January 14th Update?

Tough times and tough decisions for those in authority to make. I think a season of some kind needs to be had to validate a promotion/relegation outcome. wgats the point of Conference South continuing with no supporters and no relegation? Might as well play the youth or Trialists (like Brad is doing) A shortened season, everyone plays each other once from Mid March-June and allows clubs to get started again.

    January 14th Update?

Having voided the last season, I thought the Isthmian league would have learnt - and agreed what the contingencies were for this season should the season be cut short - playing each other once, divide into 2 divisions, double headers where requred - everyone should have known the options and be aware of them ..

    Wembley FC

This FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie is incorporated in Episode 8 of the excellent 'Dream On' series but it's a great watch, it must have been something for Langford too to play Combined Counties League Premier Division Wembley at Vale Farm that day and who were, as they are now, a lowly SSML Division One side back in 2012/13 but didn't look it, losing 3-2. Unfortunately Wembley went out of the FA Cup to Southern League Uxbridge in the next Preliminary Round but not before drawing 2-2 at Honeycroft, losing the replay 5-0 at Vale Farm: Claudio Caniggia rolls back the years and scores fo

  48. The abandonment, shortly before the end of the proceedings, was due to a player injury, Eynesbury Rovers Martin Danobrega suffered a badly broken leg when the score was 2-2. Potton United had taken an early 2-0 advantage with goals from Macsen Fraser and Ibraham Camara however Joe Bradbury pulled a goal back for the hosts shortly before the interval and Charlie Moss equalised on 80 minutes when being the quickest to react and tap in from a penalty save, two minutes later Martin Danobrega suffered the injury resulting in the curtailment, I'm sure we all wish Martin a speedy recovery.

A great team effort, the sending off was a mixture of rash tackle and the Tonbridge player's to a man surrounding the ref, something we don't do, but do you have to start.we lifted our game and remy was positive when he came on.
