Fantastic performance. Still cant believe we are in the final 16 of the FA Trophy!
Think it's the second time the club has been in position before? Correct me if I'm wrong but last time was around 2002-2004, cant remember who we played?
Hopefully we can go another round further this time. Looking forward to the draw on Monday. Fingers crossed for another home tie...

Also, the rationale behind the donation approach certainly wasn't to "pull a fast one".  We had visited Hampton & Richmond in the FA Cup, along with Tonbridge Angels and Dulwich Hamlet in the Trophy.  All 3 National South sides streamed for free with an optional donation element.
As an example, Dulwich's justgiving page for their stream:  https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dhfctv
We never looked at these free streams as money lost, nor did we expect to take a cut of their donations, we were just extremely pleased that our supporters could get to watch their team in a behind closed doors fixture.

    Can someone explain the below;
    https://www.thelinnets.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=5464.msg64588;topicseen#new

On the podcast and in the SC's EDP column - https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/stephen-cleeve-column-6891258

"Our FA Cup game against Portsmouth in a normal environment would have been a great financial fillip for the club. Sadly, the home club lost £5,967.42 putting the game on and we of course rightly need to pay half of this, as our share of the losses. So imagine my surprise when I heard that Hornchurch were going to give the streaming away for our FA Trophy game next week and ask for donations in return to their supporters’ club."

Basically SC thinks Hornchurch are 'pulling a fast one' in that if they charged for the stream 50% would come to KL, however by asking for 'donations' they keep all the potential income.  Now you can argue this both ways and I can see SC's point but it certainly isn't winning the club any fans, particularly with a lower league club who are not getting any income at present.  Maybe a better option would have been to explain the situation and, given that we are hardly likely to be talking huge £s, SC could have asked Lynn fans to make their own mind up and for those that thought Hornchurch's stance was unfair to make a contribution to Lynn instead.

first and foremost - get well soon dibs.
I get that all football clubs are losing revenue and are struggling, but to me the £12 price tag is a tad excessive, particularly when you bear in mind that a nowtv 24hr sky sports pass will get you 11 channels you can watch on 2 devices at the same time at pretty high quality for £9.99.  do Kings Lynn really think this is any sort of value for money and that if someone wants to watch sport, that they'll spend more to watch them rather than sky?  If any football club is going to survive the current crisis, it will be reliant on the goodwill and the support of the fans.  Each club can have their own strategy around fostering this continued support and goodwill, not just of their own fans, but away fans and neutrals alike.  Once this is over, I would certainly consider pitching up at Dulwich Hamlet, Tonbridge Angels or Hampton & Richmond and contributing to record bar takings as a gesture of my appreciation for their live streaming.
That said, I've been grateful to these teams in the past which means that I probably do place a value on the live stream - the Dulwich commentator was asking for donations, but I didn't chip in as the feed kept freezing.  I'm hopeful that Kings Lynn were just testing the waters to see what appetite there is and £12 was their opening offer.   I'd be willing to pay a quid for the feed and pledge to attend a match at Kings Lynn in the future.  If they're going to stick to their guns though, I agree with the sentiment expressed here.  f*ck em and everyone encourage a boycott of their club as they've effectively shat on the fans they rely on.
alternative could be for an official at the ground to be on the phone to fat tom daley for the 90 mins giving commentary, and fat tom daley in turn live streaming himself in front of a Subbuteo table giving us a unique fa trophy experience and a laugh.  i'd pay more than a quid for that.

Who the f**k do they think they are?!!
They are the away team and we are offering to view the game for free not just to Hornchurch supporters but to Kings Lynn and actually probably to anyone else who wants to watch a game of football.
Why are they dictating what we want to do about our live streaming?
Personally they can go shove their offer right up their arrogant arses!!
Can Hornchurch speak to the FA regarding this?

Quite frankly I find it ridiculous they are requesting this. We are the smaller club with the smaller budget who were going to stream the game for free yet they are demanding a fee!

Let’s not forget the supporters association paid just short of £1000 to get this game out to the fans free of charge! I am fully against Kings Lynns proposal.

I'm in total disagreement that we should be charging fans the privilege of £12 to watch a game that cannot be attended in person. Let's not forget the good will gestures of Dulwich Hamlet, Tonbridge Angels and Hampton & Richmond for streaming the respective FA Trophy and FA Cup games free of charge.

In my opinion, as we are the home team the final say should be with us, the club, as to whether we charge or not although I know that cannot be the case.

I’m sorry, but this is outrageous.
This season I’ve been extremely grateful for (and greatly impressed by), the streaming services for our games offered for free by Hampton & Richmond, Tonbridge Angels and Dulwich Hamlet.  Nothing beats being at the match itself, but those clubs put in a tremendous effort so that we could watch the games.
The Supporters Association recognised the benefits that these services provide and have spent a significant sum of money so that we could offer both our own and Kings Lynn’s fans the same.  We all recognise that we are unlikely to see live football for some time to come – this was an opportunity to provide some much needed respite. For a National League side to impose this on us, at our own ground, so they can make a few quid is beyond belief.
I vote to reject and tell the to do one.

It’s a no for me on pure principle basis the £12 fee they mention I assume they want some/all of it ?

So from their greed not only do our fans suffer theirs do too!  You really would think that in troubled world we all live in today that a smaller club (apparently) trying to bring some cheer to people free of charge they would endorse it not try and prevent it.

Absolutely outrageous and downright selfish on their part. I appreciate that football clubs are struggling for money but some people have lost their jobs and can’t afford to pay £12 at the moment. The idea of live-streaming it for free was surely so people can enjoy watching the game and donate what they can afford, whether that be nothing or full ticket price.

For this game we would be classed as “elite” and if we stay as we are the game would be played behind closed doors.
Problem is we have no football or training until or may be not then 1 January.

Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch reacted to PONY TAILED URCHIN in Dulwich
I know i am a bit late with comments but I thought the whole team were outstanding in how they took the game to Dulwich who despite being the supposed better team on paper really did not look at all that good all thanks to the efforts of the whole team working so hard together.
Charlie Ruff looked brilliant all game and although Dulwich did start to keep him quiet in the 2nd half he showed just how good he is just as the commentary stated telling us how quiet he had been.  A superb poachers goal ghosting into the box unmarked to secure a deserved win.
It's good to hear that Nash is all on the mend after his concussion in the 2nd half and hopefully the whole squad will be fit and ready to go again if we can get the game played on Jan 16th.

A great team effort, the sending off was a mixture of rash tackle and the Tonbridge player's to a man surrounding the ref, something we don't do, but do you have to start.we lifted our game and remy was positive when he came on. Well done to Mark, staff and players, good night out shame the rest of you couldn't be there

I thought Tuesdays performance was one of the best of the season. Solid at the back , energetic and creative in midfield and clinical up top. Ruff and Nash seem to have clicked straight away , Jordan Clark just gets better every game no matter what position. I thought muldoon looked solid in central midfield, it’s just a shame with all the disruption that we have assembled a great squad that will challenge for the title but may well not get the opportunity to do so. Up the urchins

Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch reacted to Dinamo Urchin in Food Bank Donations
With the move to Tier 2 restrictions here in Havering and the potential economic impact that this will bring as we approach winter, the Supporters Association has agreed that we will now collect foodbank donations at each home game, rather than on a monthly basis.  Contributions can be left at the Track & Trace stations or Clubhouse entrance.
The recent campaign by Marcus Rashford to provide free school meals for children in need during the school holidays and fans of Premier League clubs boycotting Pay Per View fees of £14.95 and instead donating their money to local charities and food banks, have shown how football can help those less fortunate in our society.  I appreciate that many of us may also be struggling right now, but even the smallest of contributions can make a big difference, so please do all you can to support this when and if you are able.
