  1. When will the SSML fixtures be released? Getting antsy.
  2. Not the worst news tbh, I always found Karen to be somewhat of a party pooper on here. I was on twitter for a bit but I tell you what, the arguments! Too much. There's some real fools on there. I'm back on here this season, I'll give it one last go. I've missed it and twitter just wasn't the platform to give my views on players, teams and games I attended. Very sensitive people on there, the staff, the fans and the players. Viva la Forum!
  3. What's going on here?! Looks like we've got the old band back together! We'll have Rendon Bodgers back on here next!
  4. I'm guilty as sin. I haven't been on here for a long time for various reasons which I won't go into. It used to be really popping on here, but these days it's all fixtures, postponements and results with little other input. If anybody actually reads this..... why do you think it's not as popping on here as it used to be? Personally, I think it's Twitter that has taken away what was once a hotbed for the latest info, discussion, banter, debates, etc. Twitter is instant, the players and staff are on there too. Any other thoughts on the causes? And any other thoughts on how we could make this forum more popping again?
  5. Big shout out to Colney Heath in the big "battle of the budgets"! What a superb win that was last night. Will this lead to a hangover in Welwyn's league form.....?
  6. watched from "the best seat in the house" with a little wine and some fish and chips (the usual) and blow me, this one did NOT disappoint. Kind of summed up Berko's season in many ways, the goals are there, but concede too many. Think Tasker will be replaced this summer.
  7. Concerned a few games might get postponed, I'd be more concerned about losing a bloody good ssml club!!
  8. hurrah! I have to admit, I was gutted that we wouldn't have your match videos. Top coverage is BACK!
  9. The magic of the FA Cup is alive and well with Bateman hosting one of his many former clubs! You couldn't script it could you.
  10. Welwyn Garden City wheels to come falling off at some point..... 2/1
  11. Funny that. That's exactly what I'd imagine someone who's been messed about by Northwood to say.
  12. Rumour has it, London Tigers' good players (you know, the ones who turn up when they get that shock 3-0 against one of the top 5 teams) are willing to play a LOT more games now that their home pitch will be at Northwood and not that tufty cow field. How's that for an outsider shout!
  13. Hear Barker was promised the Northwood job, until the shock interest shown from Simon Lane.
  14. If Welwyn don't win it this season, surely it's a case of "Fish out".
  15. Just had a look back through this, how wrong we were! Well, apart from me who predicted that the money wouldn't necessarily bring happiness to Welwyn Garden City. ....Mystic Reb.
  16. Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to start off a valid, adult debate on this forum these days. I almost long for the old days of Rhodes, at least then it was only one aggressive idiot disrupting the forum. I agree with Karen, always nice to have attention. Welwyn have put themselves on a platform to be talked about, an impressive promotion season, some silverware, openly talking about a budget and bringing in some big names. It hasn't quite worked out this year and I've been very curious as to why. Another unconvincing result at the weekend to London Tigers, I'm still left wondering, what is going wrong this season? For me, I'd say Fish-dawg needs to take this season on the chin and learn from it, maybe come back next year with a more settled, consistent squad, not chuck money about and have a revolving door. Thanks to the people that did engage in this discussion instead of commenting on people's brand of jacket *face palm*.
  17. Unrest, bad results, players leaving, staff leaving, attendances plummeting, pitch looking tufty, Arnott demoted from player to Asst. Manager (???), 3 losses on the bounce, 13 goals conceded in the last 3 games - what is going on down at Herns Way? If you want my opinion, and most people usually do, the blame lies with the manager. Fish dog reminds me a bit of when that chav won the national lottery. He'd never had all that money before and he didn't know how to spend it. Fish has thrown money about aimlessly, signing anyone and everyone, even if they haven't fitted into the true "Welwyn way". Along the way, he's dropped or got rid of some of his most loyal players. I think he's gone as far as he can go in the role, Welwyn really should have looked to Bateman to get to that next level. Someone like that being available and willing to drop to this level, a club with Welwyn's ambition should've snapped him right up and will probably look at this one day as a big opportunity missed. Is there something more to it, or is Fish dog simply out of his depth?
  18. Classic Welwyn, something being their fault is described by them as "an impossibility".
  19. Seems HallSea's Penis has added another account, welcome to the forum KissMyButt. Butt and Penis, that just about sums up Welwyn's level of maturity. I was at the game and I have to admit, it was "handbags at ten paces". I'm talking real "six of one, half a dozen of the other" stuff. I'm not one to stir the pot, but if we're looking to place the blame and I was forced to give an answer, with a heavy heart and a lot of thought, I'd have to edge towards saying it was 1 million percent Welwyn's fault. But it's opinions at the end of the day. Talking of which, my opinion on A.Fisher putting that video up after.... embarrassing.
