Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to start off a valid, adult debate on this forum these days. I almost long for the old days of Rhodes, at least then it was only one aggressive idiot disrupting the forum.

I agree with Karen, always nice to have attention. Welwyn have put themselves on a platform to be talked about, an impressive promotion season, some silverware, openly talking about a budget and bringing in some big names. It hasn't quite worked out this year and I've been very curious  as to why. Another unconvincing result at the weekend to London Tigers, I'm still left wondering, what is going wrong this season? For me, I'd say Fish-dawg needs to take this season on the chin and learn from it, maybe come back next year with a more settled, consistent squad, not chuck money about and have a revolving door.

Ha ha, couldn't care less if there's unrest at WGC, or who goes up or not, or even if you're Lee or not. No cardigans here either, just a massive laugh at the obvious attempt at a bite from RH and the big whopper on the end of line.

Unrest, bad results, players leaving, staff leaving, attendances plummeting, pitch looking tufty, Arnott demoted from player to Asst. Manager (???), 3 losses on the bounce, 13 goals conceded in the last 3 games - what is going on down at Herns Way?

If you want my opinion, and most people usually do, the blame lies with the manager. Fish dog reminds me a bit of when that chav won the national lottery. He'd never had all that money before and he didn't know how to spend it. Fish has thrown money about aimlessly, signing anyone and everyone, even if they haven't fitted into the true "Welwyn way". Along the way, he's dropped or got rid of some of his most loyal players. I think he's gone as far as he can go in the role, Welwyn really should have looked to Bateman to get to that next level. Someone like that being available and willing to drop to this level, a club with Welwyn's ambition should've snapped him right up and will probably look at this one day as a big opportunity missed.

Is there something more to it, or is Fish dog simply out of his depth?

You say you did not see what went on after the sending off but all the blame belongs to Stotfold,
That`s a very fair opinion. I hope you never get called up for jury service.

    In other news.....

Cockfosters and Tring Athletic battered each other at a furious pace for 90 minutes at the Stadio del Gesso and in the end deservedly shared a point in what will be the best 0-0 either side play this season.
Fosters hit the woodwork a couple of times, the young Tring keeper saved bravely one on one with his feet a few times, and the Yellows looked formidably fast going forward. Great game.
A few yellows, no punches, brawls or handbags and no gobby supporters.
    Proud to follow the SSML.

Another frank and open post from ssml's very own Brendan Rodgers. Has to be admired in my opinion. One point I don't agree with is the constant 'some players turned down more money elsewhere" shout. It's kind of irrelevant as we all know different players get offered different amounts, so whereas you may have had a player turn down more money and come to you for (fractionally) less, you may also have players you deem more important that you're paying way more to than another club could/would.
I agree to a point in what you say regarding players only caring about money. Players at this level love the football and the money is a bonus. But it's the ones who drop down to play who do just care about the money. If you can pick up more money in the ssml than 2/3 levels up for easier games and less travelling it's a no-brainer to them. Your BJ Christie's have been doing it for time (expect to see him in a berko shirt in the very near future).
Other than that, I like your post. Your club has been open about what it's got and you've all worked hard to get there. Wish some other clubs would be more open when they're flashing the cash.
