Taxi for 'Super Daz'

Still on for 12:30, I would've e-mailed but my system has all turned to rat sh*t and I can't send for some reason, see you in an hour and ten.

STEVENAGE

I don't think any of us have been to their current home. According to their site the game is segregated and we head for gates 17,18 and 19. They play in red so if you have both shirts be ready to wear the grey one. COME ON YOU 'FLEET

Corner flags

Can anyone please tell me why we have corner flags in Aldershot colours and not our own super red and white? COME ON YOU SUPER 'FLEET

Segregation Arrangements

Obviously the aforementioned TW%TS stayed at home because all the away fans I came across seemed to be ordinary* normally adjusted people, and I certainly didn't see any of them eating children or anything as some would try to have us believe they do. I just hope we can leave the same good impression when we come to your place. * 'Ordinary' is a relative term, and is only used here in its more abstract sense when talking about those of us who travel up to 700 miles in one day for 90 minutes of entertainment and socialising.

Fleet vs Hereford

The last thing I want to do is give the impression that new faces don't fit and there efforts not appreciated, T.K. had an almost perfect game in mostly his own position, but I thought N.B. just edged it because he didn't really put a foot wrong anywhere on the pitch, and when he came up in open play still managed to get back to cover his own position. And I'm certainly not trying to force my opinion upon anyone else because that's what the board is all about, having your say and respecting others views. COME ON YOU REDS

Old faces

I see St Albans winner was scored by a certain Corey Campbell..... Where would we fit him in now?

Fleet vs Hereford

There's not a lot to be added to what's been said so far, a superb all round performance, hard to pick out any individual, Macca's back with his usual performance, Benno's getting stronger every game, Liam and Boothy gave everything, 'Jacko gave his normal captains innings and it shows the team as awhole is getting stronger because he's not standing out quite as much as the last season. A magnificent game for Tostao Kwashi capped by that unique individual effort to put the game beyond Herefords reach. But motm I feel must go to Nick Burton. 2 well taken goals from 3 efforts, an almost faultless performance from his on position and running the whole afternoon to support and cover his team mates. I can see the 'Reporter' scores having a few more 8 out of 10's, maybe a couple of 9's and possibly a 9.5. The defence only let them through 3 times, 1 could have been dodgy, dipping low to Wilko's right post and was competently dealt with, a 2nd was almost a chest high back pass and the 3rd goes into the same book as the Bedford miss and is best not talked about. On top of all this, let's not forget the management team who got the preparation just right again and this time got the result as well. COME ON YOU REDS
8. Yes it frightened the life out of me as well when I read the back page of todays telegrapgh sport today. Luckily for us they refer to Colin Jackson running his last international 110 metre hurdles, and not to the mighty Jimmy leaving the 'Fleet..... Nevertheless, just reading it spoiled my breakfast toast.

the odds are shortening

It's early days yet I know but if you remember I tipped Saints to win it in May and I've been right for 6 out of the last 8 years.....And I still missed the bet when it was 50/1 in June. All the best, see you next August.

Don't look now...

...But that bunch of thugs that attempted to kick usoff the park last week, and help contribute towards our current injury predicament are actually sitting in 22nd spot at the moment. With thier geographical location, will they go to Ryman one north or south?

Jimmy Jackson

This is a tremendous and much appreciated achievement in these days of 'move around a lot for as much as possible' and some of the more egotistical members of the beautiful game could learn something from it. Cheers 'Jacko, all the best.

Today

First of all, sincerest best wishes to the unfortunate Yeovil casualty, if it was as bad as it first looked, then here's to a rapid and complete recovery. Now down to business, a tremendous result after what some of us pessimists were thinking in the morning. Two well taken goals early on took Yeovil to the absolute edge (quote from one of theirs after the game) I feel we took the game to them with a ( severely depleted ) side that was all heart and pride, and only succumbed to irresistable pressure after going down to 10 men. MOTM I think has to go to Mark Bentley, super goal, absolutely tireless running and support for his comrades and cool and collected under pressure. Keep it up lads, 7th isn't too bad and if I remember rightly we started last term with a win and only got 11th.

What time are you leaving?

Andy, be sure to get your copy of the 'Gravesend Reporter' from 2 weeks ago so you can see the picture of the shirt modellers. By the way, my dad thinks you look like 'Hagar' without his helmet.

Where is Everybody??????????????

I think your original post is right Dave, 1st night nerves, there's not any banter between the 2 sets of supporters at the moment, and even I'm not commiting myself with silly comments and predictions about us creating a rod for our own back with 6pts from the 1st 2 games. Going off on a completely different tack, I know that obviously glass and alcohol are banned but are soft drinks in tins are still ok up in this division.
