  1. ....need to check group D.
  2. If we were able to resume playing in March I think we could complete, but things will get difficult again if a team returns a positive test. As a groundsman I would not be to upset to see another Null & Void so I could start the pitch renovations in March and continue the improvements to the grass we made last year but as a fan it would be a huge disappointment.
  3. Great team effort to get the game on, considering I only found out the late venue swap on the Saturday night, thinking that we would have another week for the pitch repairs to bed-in we had over long grass and no pitch markings at all, so the lads spent Monday strimming and putting some great patterns on the pitch with the mower, then yesterday it was out with the tape measure and string lines for some crisp straight markings to make it looking the best December Kiln Brow pitch I can remember. From 2-30pm the fog started to arrive by 5pm I was getting a little worried(and cold) but the ref ma
  4. To confirm the game is at Kiln Brow tomorrow as its not on league fixture list or FA full time, given the short notice, the pitch will be ready, complete full 32 page match day programme with just two days notice and bit of luck hot food at the canteen. Plus we have a good stock of new club badges. Proper effort all round lads.
  5. Leatherhead 2 Redhill 3 Great win for the Lobsters!
  6. https://www.redhillfc.com/news/club-statement--redhill-fc-2581180.html Good luck to the new first team manager.
  7. Just take it easy, glad our friends next door took care of you and when you are up and about again and fancy a trip to Kiln Brow I will personally make sure of a ticket, programme and a canteen tab is available for you.
  8. I try and get to as many U18's games as I can, interesting to see progress being made and who is likely to be on the road to our first team. Last night our U18's played Met Police in a friendly (and yes they do seem to be getting younger!). The Met started stronger but the young Lobsters getting more confident under the refurbished floodlights almost snatched a win late on but for the offside flag. Final score 1-1. On duty at Kiln Brow for the visit of Raynes Park Vale this Saturday, got a box of new badges to sell. Hope everyone is keeping well.
  9. Think you may be right. All we can do is do our best and follow guidelines. looking on the bright side I got out of printing the FA Cup programmes.....First team may be out of action but the pitch still needs mowing every other day, top dressing, weeding, fertilizing and repairs, that's before our other projects get attended to. Think our first game back is away to Abbey Rangers but before that I will try and take in a few games around the league in search of a good burger.
  10. Regrettably, we must forfeit the FA Cup Extra-preliminary round tie against Egham Town on Tuesday evening. We wish Egham Town the very best in the Preliminary Round on Sat 12th and will be following their progress in the competition. We remain positive and optimistic about the prospects of our full squad and management team returning to competitive football and thank everyone for their kind support at this time.
  11. https://www.redhillfc.com/news/lobsters-launch-brand-new-u23-development-team-2548069.html Some good news from Kiln Brow for the future.
  12. Just giving - SASH/NHS Here is our link to the Just giving page. All clubs are facing a challenging time, not just financially but also keeping facilities up to standard for when non league football returns, but before we ask for help for ourselves its important to help those on the frontline and that's what the SASH/NHS charity does and has been doing over the years, its been our club charity for sometime now and is very close to our hearts, we need to ask for help for them, not for us. Even if its just a quid it will help make a difference.
  13. This morning my best mates Dad was taken by the Virus, keep safe everyone and double think everything you do, RIP Tubby.
  14. Anyone who has had a look at our match day programmes would have seen SASH charity page for the last three seasons will see what a great charity this is. From time to time at matches injuries happen and this season we required on a couple of occasions the attendance of ambulances and paramedics and for just this alone we need to say thank you but in the bigger picture its what the NHS is doing for everyone, if you go to our Twitter page or the Surrey FA page you will see a video message from Dr. Kofi Nimako - Respiratory Consultant, Chairman and U15s Manager at Redhill Youth FC.
  15. https://www.redhillfc.com/news/lobsters-raising-cash-for-sash-2532118.html Redhill FC's Senior and Youth Clubs are contributing to the community response to COVID-19 by fundraising for East Surrey Hospital. We all want to raise as much money as possible to thank East Surrey Hospital staff for the fantastic work they carry out all the time, but particularly now in the current COVID-19 circumstances.
  16. First of all I hope forum members and families are keeping well in these difficult times. JR, I'm with you on this one, its going to be a long time before anyone can declare it safe to return to normal life.
  17. Late Substitute Made For 125 Evening. Sky Sports pundit joins Graham Robert's for our 125th anniversary celebrations. Sky Pundit and Ex Crystal Palace man Clinton Morrison will take to the stage alongside Ex England international Graham Robert's at Reigate Hill Golf Club on the 3rd April. With Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn unavailable, the likeable Soccer Saturday star was snapped up for the big occasion. Our celebrations start with golf in the afternoon, followed by an evening meal, guest speakers, an auction and a raffle. Packages for the e
  18. I'm fine hope you are doing ok. Well its not snowing thats a bonus! I have spent hours yesterday and today looking for a bottle of printer head cleaning fluid, now I remember I left it at the club so I would not forget where it was, note to self....by some post-it note pads. I blame it on cheap cider.
  19. With a combination of waterlogged pitches or no game scheduled for Redhill hopefully Lobster fans will get to see the lads play away at Camberley Town this Saturday. Our last game was back on 7th December when we visited Badshot Lea's new facilities and the traveling fans saw a well deserved 4 goals from Mo Diakite in a solid away 1-4 win so lets hope the good form continues into the new year. It was not just the goals that were worth remembering, but the welcome in the boardroom and the very tasty Sausage pasta that went down well! Have been trying to take in games at other clubs but none of
  20. Southern Combination Cup Redhill v Abbey Rangers GAME OFF.
  21. Front cover for todays Redhill v Cobham. Was talking the other evening with one of our programme contributors about our print runs and had we ever sold out? we came close for the Balham game with just two unsold and SL told me of his programme editing days with a print run of 200k in this case the first game at the new Wembley stadium, now I bet they never used Epson workforce office printers!
  22. Redhill print programmes in-house, its very cost effective, the front cover is full glossy card 180gsm we get for £8 per 100 sheets delivered, 2500 sheets of Canon red label cost £20, 4 sets of cartriges for Epson workforce printer is £12 on ebay. Its difficlult to cost the ink per 50 copy run but its not two full sets. We have a folder machine but I prefer to do it myself, it gets crisper folds and I can do the lot and staple in 45 minutes. In house means I can update at the last minute on a friday night, so no holiday closures to worry about. We have match reporters for 3 teams.
