Yes, Rissy is conspicuous by his absence isn't he to explain what on earth is going on at Horsenden Lane, Munchkin makes a good point about Reserve and Development sides not being accepted into the League.

I’m afraid I’m not in the the habit of discussing club policies on a public forum, we know we have a problem and are trying desperately to resolve this but this is not the place to discuss them - sorry.

Rissy - Sorry to use the Barry Davies commentary from Maine Road back in the day but that's 'interesting, very interesting'. I wonder whether Chairman Terry Glynn already had Chris Ayres lined up for the job to appoint him the day after Marcus Richardson cleared his desk and walked out of the door at Wilks Park.

Rhodes - The whole situation seems very strange indeed, my understanding is Chris Ayres is/was Marlow FC’s u18s Manager and Managed them in the F.A Youth Cup only last night!.

The Mangerial merry-go-round is definitely in full swing at this moment in time.

Karen - Oxhey Jets vs Risborogh Rangers has already been postponed for the 18th.

Are you confident that Oxhey Jets will beat Kingstonian and play their next round match on the 18th or is there another reason for the early postponement?

As Karen has already stated, we have a Berks & Bucks Senior Cup tie away at Milton United that day.

Sincere apologies to Rissy who is understandably conspicuous by his absence, a groundhopper from another Forum was at Ascot United last night:

    FA Cup Preliminary Round Replay
Ascot United 3 Risborough Rangers 2
Entry - £3 (conc) card only. Weather - dry and pleasant. Attendance - can't find it but definitely 200+
The proverbial game of 2 halves. At HT RR were 0-2 up with goals on 20 and 35, both spectacular long range efforts. AU virtually nowhere to be seen.
Second half was the opposite. AU scored on 48 then again on 56 to equalise, as RR seemingly ran out of steam. Nevertheless I was braced for extra time until AU scored on 90+3 to send us all home on time.
Good crowd and atmosphere. Ascot's reward is a trip to Hythe Town in deepest Kent in the next round.

No need to apologise Rhodes, we shot ourselves in the foot to be honest, fair play to Ascot, one of the nicest Clubs around with good people involved so no bitterness towards them. Could and should of been out of sight at HT with the amount of chances we made. Very last kick of the game as well apart from kicking off again so it probably hurted more. Move onto Saturday now and focus on trying to win the 3pts against London Colney at Cotlandswick. All the best to Ascot, some you win some you don’t, that’s the beauty & magic of the F.A Cup.

Rissy - But there was only one replay wasn't there and unforeseen that Walthamstow v Crawley Green was postponed, anyway what was wrong with scheduling a full programme of Division One fixtures for tonight and tomorrow.

I get you point Sir, I can only assume that as Step 6 clubs aren’t playing any F.A Cup games this season the pressure to cram games in isn’t so much a necessity.

It's disappointing that Karen arranged just one single midweek fixture for this evening when we have all been waiting so long, and with bated breath, for action. See the on-line match programme:

Harefield united V New Salamis Tuesday 10th August 2021-22

To be fair to Karen, what’s the point in scheduling in fixtures when it is a night set aside for F.A Cup replays. Thank god we won could of quite personally been on my way to Lydney which is 88 miles from Risboro’.

Rissy - Were you at the game at Thame United on Thursday then, here are some excellent photographs courtesy of photographer Simon Godfrey:

Thame Utd v Risborough Rangers (Jul '21)

Certainly was Rhodes, yes Simon takes some great shots, two late goals done us. Looking at yesterday’s result their game with Leighton, we have enough experience within the squad not to read too much into the result. Mark Eaton will know what a hard game it is going to be at Bell Close on Tuesday.

The Stabmonk - Thanks for that, there's no mention on your Twitter page or Website of Kidlington Reserves playing in the SSML Division One next season, infact it still shows the Hellenic League Division One East, have you appealed.

The Stabmonk is a Chalvey Sports supporter Rhodes as that is Chalvey’s nickname. Kidlington Reserves Twitter is very hit and miss as most stuff goes through their First team account. Hope this helps

Am getting several questions about fixtures so below is the time scale

Fixtures for 3rd August and 4th August should be released shortly after the AGM - currently checking on ground availability with regards to clubs ground shares.
Main fixtures cannot be started until Steps 3 and 4 release theirs - am expecting this to be around 14/15 July.
Once I have those I can then make a start
Full season Premier Division Fixtures should be sent to all secretaries under embargo by 17 July for checking for errors before being released 9.00am Monday 19 July.
Full season Division One Fixtures should be sent to all secretaries under embargo by 18 July for checking for errors before being released 9.00am Tuesday 20 July.
August fixtures for Division Two should be sent to all secretaries on 20 July

Thanks Karen for the update, as per usual doing a sterling job.

Sorry but isn't this taking things just a little bit too far:

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE The League has placed a temporary suspension on all pre and post match handshake formalities. This will take effect from tomorrow, 3 March until further notice. This decision is based upon current guidance issued by the Public Health Authorities.

Hellenic League have also contacted clubs this morning with the same information, does seem a tad over the top.
