still not officially down

I'd also like to add that I'm sorry to see you go. Healthy local rivalry is always a good thing, and that's what happened between Slough and Windsor, growing every season with the groundshare. From our point of view, we might get our rivalry with Maidenhead back next season, but I'm still disappointed to see you relegated. Good luck next season and I'm sure you'll bounce back at some point, though it will be tough.

2 wins in a row..

Well done. Cost me a fiver though. Buggers!

Not Good!!!!

It's 2 games in hand and 10 points behind. But yesterday's result was a big one, and anything is possible if Hendon (and Wealdstone) keep losing. Stating the obvious, you really do need the three points on Tuesday at all costs.

Kez visits Margate

A baby Williams!

Congratulations
7. Like it or not, that's not the point. Is any work being done to the pitch? If no, why? It's just getting worse and worse.

Good luck

Well done on an excellent point. I hear Ralf Little played no part - Sky must be pleased

AFC Wimbledon game

So you really believed 4,500 people would turn up? And you're the one calling ME a prick?

AFC Wimbledon game

What a shocker!

Quote: Anonymous said: They charge £9 which we didnt know until we got there, not that it would of stopped us going and I know its only £1 to £2 more than other clubs but its the principle of the thing especially when you spend the whole time trying to see through people. To be fair, you could have found out the admission cost before you left - it's not kept secret, they've been charging that price since 2002. Whether you agree with the cost or the view is a different matter.

Except that it's AFC Wimbledon vs Windsor & Eton, and not t'other way round!! Windsor have already played AFC at Stag Meadow. I think the crowd was just over 1,000.
13. It's funny Michael, you mentioned in another thread that it's good to see good home support - we're normally quite muted at 'home', on the whole. I guess seeing a good turnout of away fans having a sing-song works wonders. Plus our boys were having a relatively good game, which always helps! Good to see so many away fans like you say. Not many clubs bring a large following. Even Staines, just down the road, struggle to bring 30 or 40. Crowd was announced as 364 yesterday I think, so I'd say you probably had about 65-75 of that. Good luck for the rest of the season.

NEW SIGNING

In other words, see ya later Ralf Little.
15. Because this is our third season groundsharing there.

Todays Game

The general gist of it is that Peter Simpson said Windsor need about 43 more points from the remaining games, which is very unlikely, so if games aren't being won in the next couple of weeks, Windsor will start to prepare for next season in Division One - which I assume means a budget cut first and foremost. However he said that he doesn't see any change in manager occuring. Windsor will continue looking for new players in the transfer window, particularly a striker, with the hope of signing a Football League player on loan. The other news was that Peter Simpson said that meetings haven't taken place with Slough Town over a groundshare for next season, but Roy Merryweather says that work is taking place behind the scenes on the STFC ground-share situation. Also, it was mentioned that Peter will be having a heart bypass operation later this month.
17. It was a definite (and unnecessary) foul challenge as the ball was going out of play for a corner anyway. We had a better view than the players and officials! As for a shirt, why not send one in? They get all sorts of stuff sent to them...
18. Hmmm... maybe a tad late - would have been quite amusing to see it on t'telly though!
19. Wonder if they've got hold of any of the footage of his debut?
20. I'd actually like to say best of luck for the rest of the season as well - it can't be easy to watch that shambles week in, week out. We've said that about Slough a few times this season, but it's not as bad as what I saw yesterday. I personally hope you can pull it together and survive (but not at the expense of us of course!) and provide us with a sterner test next season.

Go on the windsor.

Quote: Anonymous said: If we listed all the things Windsor has that Slough doesn't we'd be here all day! I'll start it off with A Football side! You probably meant 'football ground'. If you're going to attempt banter, at least get it right please!

Peter Simpson

Get well soon Peter.

It's so nice...

I bought a Bluetooth dongle thing on e-Bay for about about £10 with postage.
