  1. The playoffs at step four are a disgrace this season, with 2 playoff winners not getting promoted.Good luck to Cheshunt would be good to see you go up.
  2. @Benjrider10 Very well said,I agree with and endorse every word you say.especially the bit about ETFC being more than just the first team, I am very proud to be a member/owner of ETFC,and last night Andy/Mario etc al the first team squad did us proud,it was a night to remember. Well done all, glad I was there to witness it.
  3. Our U23 team won their last game against Greenwich Borough 0-4 which puts them top of the league on 47 points, and guarantees 2nd place.Bowers and Pitsea now have to beat Bishop Stortford in their last game if they want to claim top spot. Has been a pleasure watching our u23s play this season, well done to all concerned.
  4. Thanks for the report djwilf. I have seen most of the u23 games at home this season, and they have all been a pleasure to watch, they play football as it should be played. Great to hear Mohamadu played 45 mins.
  5. I think we deserved to have won, good alround team performance though.First I have seen of Porter very impressed with his style of play.Great to see Mohamadu Faal is fit and will feature in the friendly Monday evening. Not the best ref I have seen this season. Good atmosphere over there today.
  6. @Behind-the-goal I think you have got the name of the last trophy(4) wrong,as on the Bostic league website they refer to it as the Billy Brickell Trophy, something to do with him winning it for the last 2 years :-) maybe if we win it this year they will let him keep it :-)))))
  7. We will be playing AFC Hornchurch in the final at Aveley FC on Weds 10th April. http://www.isthmian.co.uk/match-info/cups/231702
  8. According to the Stortford website, they had 4 players cup tied, and 3 injured.but who really cares!. And yes the manager must take a lot of credit for the very bold substitutions.Certainly had the desired affect. Was great to be there last night to witness that win. COYT.
  9. Hard to disagree with what has been written, respect to the players though they never gave up.And I think we now know who should be starting up front with Billy from now on.Good to see Aaron back doing what he does best. It was a rollercoaster ride but a great result for ETFC ,our first ever Velocity trophy final.
  10. @Oldtowner I am sure there were 2 ref assessors their yesterday from the FA. Some of these linesmen I have seen this season can barely keep up with play.
  11. With the players Andy had available that was a good result, first half performance was not great, but second half much improved, when we played it on the deck we opened them up,I would have preferred to see Matt Nolan in goal,he is more conducive to playing it out faster and on the ground. The match officials performance was very poor imo. Looking forward to Tuesday
  12. @OldTowner I have checked through Enfield FC records and can find no game in any comp where we beat Daggenham 5-3 at home. Although in the 77/78 season which I believe was Tony Bass first season for us we did beat them 3-0. at home Bishop 2 Bass 1 Hope this helps
  13. My first game watching Enfield FC was against Cambridge United in the F.A. Cup in 1970, Enfield lost 0 - 1
  14. Good all-round performance, kept the ball on the deck a lot more,Matt Nolan must take a lot of credit for that, his distribution was excellent.Well deserved result today. And yes it was freezing today !
  15. Yes a fantastic result, shows what this group of players are capable of.Still in with a shout of a play off place.last Saturday when Liam was named as sub, it was as a result of Ibe pulling a muscle in warmup,I think Liam was at the stadium to watch the game,so I doubt if he is 100% match fit.But I for one would love to see him feature in future games.I just pray the squad stays fit,as Andy does not have a lot to fall back on.Great to see our younger players on the bench,I am sure they will all have apart to play in the coming games.
  16. One positive that everyone seems to have missed is we beat Corinthian Casuals 6-3 on aggregate 😊. For those interested the after match interview with A.L is now on the ETFC YouTube channel.
  17. @Theodopolous I think you will find that BBricknell signed a 2 year deal.
  18. They also tried to tempt one of our younger players recently.unsuccesfully😊
  19. Very enjoyable game,v good team performance,With 2 players cup tied and an injury to Dan Rumens Andy had to make some changes.pleased to see Josh get a start,he did not stop running/chasing and fully deserved MOM,what was most pleasing for me was the way in which the younger players fitted in when they came on they all acquited themselves very well, running an u23 team is obviously working.Aaron at left back was a master stroke. I am sure Andy is aware of the talent he has in the u23s,and I for one trust in his judgement as of when to use them.
  20. I feel exactly the same Theo, when Dan R returned from injury Rian has barely had a look in.
  21. Rian McClean has signed a pro contract with first division Doncaster Rovers.
  22. Our pitch is 64m wide and Mersthams is also 64m wide,Although lengthwise our pitch is approx 2-3m longer than Mersthams. Using Google Earth measuring tool.
  23. Or maybe the match report in the non league paper !
  24. Thanks for the report Raingold, could not have said it better myself 👍
