I was listening to Talksport earlier on and they were interviewing the new Chesham owner and celebrity Alex Horne.

He happened to mention that Chesham are gutted at losing their best player Jeanmal Prosper to Slough.

One of the presenters jokingly said Slough must be the Man City of non league :laugh(2):

    Hopefully not the Chelsea 🤣

While Josh is a great right back, I also find it a waste putting him there.Yes, he is a noteworthy right back when we play the best teams and we need solid defenders to match and thwart top opposition wingers but for a lot of our games I wouldn't play him there and I would use him in an abundance of positions including centre of midfield, right wing and even as a makeshift centre half. He has matured fully and now is ready as captain and a leader to be so much more than a right back. With Jeanmal Prosper,Scott Davies and possibly another youngster/up and comer like Gabe coming through, and if we also have Joe Dandy, we should be well covered for  that one position this season

Don't know why you think he can play centre midfield or centre half He's great at right back ????

I think 'that boat has sailed' meaning that Scott must have doubts about Rhys, and from Rhys's point of view he must feel unfairly treated/demoted. If I was Rhys I wouldn't come back to Slough, and if I was Scott I would be looking for a new goalkeeper to serve him for the long haul [more than just this season], as long as Scott isn't shown the door because of bad performances from his team !

That's how I see it anyway.

Adam Desbois the Cheshunt keeper has joined Hampton Will we be getting Jules

Don't think you can plan that far ahead Lots of coming and goings in a short time at Slough

For pre season I would like to see us arrange games mainly against local clubs like Bracknell, Ascot, Hayes, Chesham etc along with games against local league clubs like Wycombe, Oxford and Reading.

Weren't we promised a game against Brentford U21s for payment for Pruti?

Ryan Upward is a very good midfielder and I'd be happy if he joined our club but I wouldn't say he is as important a player to sign right now and I would more chuffed if we signed Temi Eweka from Maidenhead. Someone to have the same impact and quality as Mark Nisbet did for us and would bring that assured presence and acumen to the heart of our defence.

Funny enough Farnborough have just lost their centre half Kevin Lokko, I don't know where he will end up but given his experience he may well be the type of centre half we go after.

Kevin Lokko has left to play at a higher level

Bishops Stortford have appealed the decision to send them North.

They have worked out that in 5 of their furthest away games they will travel around 2,500 miles.

If you drew a line like VAR isn't Braintree further north ?

When the two Slough Town Cup Finals were played at Slough it was brilliant, I think they moved when everything sadly took place around the club twenty odd years back and were moved to Burnham and have stayed since.

Unfortunately I lost four semi finals across the years in the Senior and never got to play in the main final, but played in a couple of Junior Finals and lost a few semis as well, its a great day out generally on Good Friday.

It would be good to get both finals back to Slough Town itself so to speak.

Used to love the Slough town cup finals at Slough

Have to say I'm on the fence when it comes to Dan Roberts.

Showed a lot of potential scoring goals for fun at a lower level for Windsor.

Scored 13 goals in 61 appearances for Slough.

On loan to us for 5 games last season and didn't score.

Went on loan to Hungerford and started scoring goals.

I think he will score 15+ goals at level 2 playing for a team that plays to his strengths.

Let's have a big lump up front A young Ed Smith please

Don’t all of them charge around the same, £120 to £140 per hour.

The stupid thing is that a lot of these venues are probably little used on Sundays and there are lots of local youth teams that play on Sundays that would love to use them but can’t afford those prices.

These youth teams also suffer from many cancelled winter matches due to poor maintenance of the grass pitches & the current season still hasn’t finished for many of them.

Don't the women play there Sundays?
