  1. 13-August 10 - Happy Birthday Lifelongdagger :)

  2. Cheers, mate. Top half and a good cup run will do me. Seeing Grays plummet into the depths of regional obscurity would be funny, although I think mid table may be their fate. I think Oxford will be the one's to catch along with perhaps Hereford and York. Sounded like a fantastic day by all acounts at the testimonial, really gutted I couldn't make it. Lee really made me proud to be a Dagger every time he played. That day at Charlton perhaps one of the greatest days of my life . . . Good luck to you and yours this season Bionic, although if you get us at all, I hope you get a damned good thrashing, obviously . . .
  3. I was working all day and don't feel, in all fairness, that I am responsible for the others that you refer to . . .
  4. Thank you for those most helpful of instructions . . .
  5. London APSA v Barkingside . . . I know I'll be there.
  6. Really is a great shame that on the same day as your local kick about there is a proper match just down the road . . . Still, I suppose it's the relative nature of our delusions that fuel our superlatives and engender a sense of well being in a world that would otherwise seem as a bleak as the dark, empty chasm that is the inside of Lee Dixon's head . . .
  7. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> . . .
  8. I do happen to agree with every single point you make there D04, and couldn't have expressed it better myeself. The loss of Dagenham FC was a sad, sad day but I suppose that I can delude myself that it still exists by walking down the same road to the ground and picturing myself sitting on the now terraced over grass mound behind the Pondfield Road goal that I spent so many happy, frustrated, wonderful times. As you say, D04, supporters from the other amalgamated teams no longer have that opportunity . . . As to the moral high ground, Uncle, any steps that I take upon that hallowed place are taken whilst wearing the walking boots of jest and a warm fleece of amiability . . . but then I'm sure you knew that anyway . . .
  9. If I remember rightly, Uncle, the 'rape and pillage' of Redbridge Forest allowed them to be promoted to the Conference through a ground share at Victoria Road. They had only been in existence for less than five years, an amalgamation as they were of two other local teams . . . The merger of Dagenham and Redbridge Forest, from memory, resulted in a squad that contained probably eighty or ninety percent Redbridge Forest players. From a playing perspective, as a Dagenham supporter, we may have suddenly been promoted to the conference via the merger, but we lost a whole team of players as a result . . .
  10. Mmm . . . Self deprecating comment in order to avoid dealing with difficult adult feelings . . .
  11. Mmm . . . Using humour as a way of defending against difficult emotions . . .
  12. It does seem as NTRSW appears somewhat threatened, or does the homoerotic direction of his comment spring from a long standing conflict within himself, I wonder . . .
  13. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> . . .
  14. It was out of simple kindness that I took the anaolgy at all, Mr Tree, to leave it, standing their alone, bereft of hope and understanding would have been but a cruel act . . .
