Better safe than sorry in my book.  Do nothing, and all of a sudden, it's decided that football is back !

I don't think it is a bad idea to issue fixtures as at Steps 8 & 9 down to Grassroots football Teams will need to book pitches form their local Councils as early as possible.

Worse case scenario you don't start on 1 August and postponed fixtures can be re-arranged

Yeah I haven't got the interest or commitment to be involved in a club anymore I just want turn up to a footy match of my choice and just watch the footy 👍
My old club Hanwell Town FC seem to be worrying money wise which isn't nice to hear/see as they are a good bunch of people at Hanwell Town FC and a lot of the Hanwell Town committee are 70+ but I'm told that they are all well well the ones that i am still in contact with are anyway.
I don't think there will be many non league football clubs that are not having big money problems right now.
Step 1 to Step 6 clubs are in big trouble and they rely on there gate receipts big time so I can't see them playing behind closed doors?
    Tough and interesting times.

I am getting a little sick of some football followers wailing and crying about their sport being hampered.
They really DO need to get their priorities in order !
All my family have donated to Capt. Tom's charity for the NHS.  Now over £20 raised.
I DO so hope he is honoured with a Knighthood.

It's a waste of time and effort in my opinion.
Right now there's bigger 🐟 to fry in my opinion.

Interesting  but as I've said before it's a done deal and nothing will change. I can understand clubs and people (Me being one of them) being upset by the decision but the fat lady sang weeks ago I'm afraid.

I seriously think when a new season is announced, you may see the disappearance of some old and established clubs.
Everything in amateur non-league football is money orientated these days.  Sad but true !!

I agree with you Rhodsey.  As I have just stated on another forum, I think many non-league clubs will just fade away on financial grounds.  Amateur football just isn't amateur any more !!

I'm getting more than a little annoyed at Premiership players griping about taking pay-cuts.
In reality, compared to grass-roots football, the majority are overpayed and underworked.
I have no problem with them having to take a pay cut, say 20%, PROVIDING that money goes to the NHS.
    These are serious times,

If this season 2019/20 is void then it should mean that everything is void for the 2019/20 season including fines right? And not just the results and league standings.

    Why reconsider.
Surly football matters are totally irrelevant in these very dificult times.
Season over let's all move on.

Interesting to hear how others are coping with the situation we all find ourselves in. I'm normally a homeworker, so not much change there, but it's a lot harder to balance work with having our 21 month old charging around the house and demanding constant attention. My wife is a primary school teacher, and is expected to attend work 1 day every 2 weeks to support the 5 or so key workers' children that her school now has regularly attending, so that's another challenge for us to manage. She's also having to set work on a daily basis, and call all children in her class once a week.
All in all, I can't really complain, and I know that there are many others that are in more difficult situations with more upheaval from their normal lives and routines than us. We've found that doing a family walk as our daily exercise is something to look forward to, although my daughter doesn't quite get the concept of social distancing, wanting to get up close and personal with every person/dog/inanimate object. I've noticed that near enough to a person, everyone we see is much more friendly and willing to engage when out and about (whilst still sensibly distancing). I'll be going out to do our weekly shop later today, which should be interesting - I'm also shopping for my parents who are in an age bracket that makes them more vulnerable.
We've found that video conferencing is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family, and in some cases we're having more social contact with friends that aren't local than we would do normally.
Lastly, I wish all Non League fans (and anyone else that stumbles across this thread) all the best. Things are difficult and will be for some time, but there will be an end to this - in the mean time, do your best to stay positive, assist others as much as you can without putting yourself at additional risk and keep safe 👍

As an 'At Risk' person of 72, I am doing everything advised.
I get my daily excercise by walking the 400 mts to the corner shop on our estate.  The owners ensure there is no crowding and people keep there distance which customers respect.
I'm pretty sure that if this goes on for weeks I'll become stir-crazy.
People who openly and deliberately flout the advice about congregating are nothing short of selfish unthinking criminals and should be treated as such.  Maybe under rapidly produced legislation, they will be !!
