  1. Very best wishes for a good Christmas, and I hope you have a successful 2010. You have a lot of good fans at HDP, and Kent needs successful teams. Best wishes Gary
  2. Thanx for the heads up, Apache. If the match is on, I will probably see znd chat to Keith on Saturday, so may find out a bit more. Regards Gaz
  3. That is a bit poor, isn't it Apache. There may of course be a valid reason, but as I am not a member, I am not privy to such information. That said, it does affect me as I intend to enlist when the deal is completed - I guess a number of non-member skeptics will too, as the original reasons for not joining are no longer there. I will try and found out from our official forum. Btw, good talking to you and having polite, debate despite our opposing sides. Gaz
  4. Jeez, that hit a nerve! Nothing wrong with admitting the club you once supported has changed so much that you do not recognise it as the club you once loved. I know a few people like that, and I whilst I disagree with them, I respect their choice. For every fan that no longer supports Fleet, there are new people who step in. I really cannot see your arguement, Les, you made your point, along with plenty of others. You are pretty much a voice on your own. Move on. Bite the bullet and grudgingly come along for the bumpy ride. With or without you Fleet are still Fleet, and will still be playing at Stonebridge Road. Alternatively, come up with a better solution to Myfc,
  5. I'm afraid you now come across as just a disembodied, disaffected voice out of touch with the club you once supported, Les. At least Myfc contribute financially, and some of them througn the turnstiles too. Continued bleating about how damaging myfc are is pointless. They are here to stay, as is the name Ebbsfleet. If you cannot live with that, perhaps you need to reconsider whether you are still a fan and supporter. It's a good thing we didn't listen to the 'wise' words of that financial guru UU, It seems that not only was he wrong, he may have buggered up yet another club.
  6. I too do not know whether a supporters led MYFC will keep us up, but I do know that without the financial input from them the club would havd folded a year ago. I agree money has been squandered, mistakes were made and too many played politics, with the team as piggy in the middle. Time will tell, but our finances, ie, little or no real debt, are the envy of a large number of conference clubs. Watch this space, but I reckon we will see a growing number of conf. clubs going part time next year, as this league is unsustainable on gates of less than 2000.
  7. From what I hear Apache, the people I denigrate appear to be making a hash of running what is little more than a minor Saturday club side - it looks like they were trying to win Olympic Gold before they could even walk. Rumour has it that UU has pulled the plug on his 'sponsorship', leaving those in charge a bit strapped for cash. As you said, the original MYFC model was flawed - I opposed a few things, which is why I didn't buy into it. That has now changed, it is now a fans run thing, with all proceeds going back into the club, with no PTT. It isn't too far adrift of an AFC setup - no bad thing, you'll agree.
  8. To this day you still don't get it, Les. I don't suppose you ever will. The club was bankrupt, within weeks of being wound up. MyFC, for all their faults stepped up to the plate, paid off depts of over £800,000 which needed paying at once, and like them or loathe them, they saved the club, at least gave us a decent stay of execution. The problem was there were a coupel of individuals who were ambitious, and saw the opportunity to take over the running off EUFC. Fortunately, the good people at the club saw through this and blocked the move. It was then that FREEMYFc took off. By the same two people who waged a war against not only MYFC, but also against EUFC and it's supporters. They even roped in gullible allies such as yourself to help in their dirty work. You did them proud Les, and to this day your name is infamous on the terraces when my mates and I talk about the bad old days. They did this by hijacking this forum to air their own points of view, banishing anyone who opposed them. Many of us had posts changed and altered to give the juxtaposed view. When we protested , we were banned. The same person then abused his position as moderator on this forum given to him when the Admin (Ian) was at a domestic low. that was shameful, and it is clear now that this person was clearly unsuitable to run a professional football club. I am pleased that those people now have a team to run, it means they can leave us alone. I'm sure they still harbour grudges and there are plenty of hard feelings, and behind the secretive club and forums I am sure there is still an underlying dislike of all things Ebbsfleet, but so be it.but Fleet and MYFC have moved on. MYFC is now the model it should have originally been, run by the supporters, for the club, every penny raised going into the club. No PTT. I was never a supporter of PTT, neither am I a fan of Liam , but I always defended his right to pick his team.Rejoin the ranks of supporters, Les, be a fan of Ebbsfleet Utd, join MYFC and help the club, fans are fed up with the continued sniping from afar.
  9. I'm surprised you haven't changed your allegiance to the Liverpool of Bedfordshire, Les. Your 4 chums are apparently still alive their, well hidden in the secret little club.
  10. It seems the deal is now done. MYFC is now wholly owned and run by fans and supporters. 100% of the money goes directly into the club. I presume this will see the slow and lingering death of freemyfc , they now haven't anything to whine about. If that happens, perhaps this forum will become a troll free zone, as is was before the morons wrecked it.
  11. Ross is in sensational form. considering he had open heart surgery not too long ago, he is a footballing phenomenon. It's a pity he leaves in 6 weeks, his inspirational attitude to training and playing has uplifted both the team and the fans.
  12. Has joined you from us on loan. This confirms the rumour that Cookie and i have been discussing (by pm) yesterday. Cannot give you any other info on him, other than he has been on the bench a couple of times. Hope he does well for you. As he seems to be a product of Millwall's youth system, expect a top notch youngster.Link here http://www.ebbsfleetunited.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=688:read-is-right-for-coastal-move&catid=63:headline-news Cheers Gary
  13. Great news for Ross and Kent football. Ross has fully recovered from a serious heart condition and major heart surgery - has been training with Fleet, is now fully fit and has just signed. A very brave bloke. And a top bloke too.
  14. Still keeping up to date with events at your place, you really seem to be heading in the right direction, both on and off the pitch. There are clear lessons for us to learn. And yes, most of the regulars are back, although we lost everyone when we lost the forum. And yeS HJA is still annoying, bet I have yet to meet anyone more dedicated and committed to the club. Best wishes to all. Gary
  15. It was truly appalling Les. A gutless, spineless performance. But worst was the tactical ineptitude shown in the team selection, line up and tactics.. There are too many tough questions that need answers. We were lucky to escape only losing 3-0. Listening to the reception afterwards, Liam may not have lost the dressing room, but he has pretty much lost the supporters.
  16. Hi guys, good to see your boys are having a better seaason than last.....wish we were!!! Just for info, our official forum bombed when the MYFC server and hard drive crashed in america. we have now abandoned it, and have set up a shiny new one: http://ebbsfleetunited.co.uk/fansforum/ Free to view, simple registration to post on. Admin and mods are the same. Just to let you know our Fans focus forum, whilst still operational, is not yet FreeMyfc free, so expect some anti-Fleet stuff and hostility towards Fleet fans on there. Keep up the good work, and hopefully see some of you again if we meed in the KSC. regards Gary
  17. I have seen the crap spewed out on the secret 'free' forum about Fleet and it's supporters, behind very closed doors, and with no right to reply. At least on here you get to argue. But Britman is right, get this thread closed,
  18. I think you are right Fleetzone, let's leave them to it. If we stick to the official forum, we deny them the publicity they seek. They abused this site, as they continue to do. Let them post anti Fleet propoganda on the free/SA forum to their hearts content. Nobody will see it, nor care. Never been quite sure of the secrecy there, but it's still a bit fishy. A forum set up by Lucy and Darter, who then set up SA, handing over the modding to the SA press snd publicity officer. Yet they maintain theee is no link between the two.
  19. I don't suppose Ian W or David H are very happy with the freemyfc mob trolling back on here. Most are now non members, therefore have nothing to do at all with Fleet. They messed it up once - I assume they will try the same again. At least there is control over the modding on here now.
  20. Sorry lucy, you've lost me and everyone else there! I suppose the people who will tell you straight that I have never modded here (or shared a login????) are Ian, David H, Chris B , Jimmy and Cassandra.
  21. Hopefully Ian will bin this thread, as yet more crap from the keyboard of Loser appears. Of course he knows I have never modded here, I was actually banned twice by him during his short and highly controversial spell as mod. And all for supporting Fleet on a Fleet forum. His last rant sums him up . People will judge for themselves. Just go Gordon, back to running your little club and leave the Fleet forum(s) to Fleet fans.
  22. I agree myfc made some crass financial decisions, but their influence is now (seemingly) on the wane, so my angst is not aimed at those who enter the debate without vitriol to the local fans, but to those who blame the locals and non members for allowing it all to happen. I also intensly dislike those to took over this forum for their own political agenda, becoming corrupt moderators and effectively killing it for 9 months.
  23. You seem to spend too much time doing your worrying on a Fleet forum. I guess you need an audience. Myfc may or may not pull out. Whatever. Won't be the end of the world. Take Luton , Championship to Conference in short time, yet they remain optimistic. Liam may get sacked, he may quit. Managers come and go. That's football. Fleet will continue. We have no debt, and ground security for a millenia.
  24. I don't thin, our gates are particularly lower than last year. The overall average has increased due the likes of Wrexham, Luton, afc Wimbledon and Kettering . Added to this both Oxford and Cambridge are showing increases. All this affects the league average. I'm not a member of myfc as you know Gordon, so I'm not privy to their discussions. That said, it's unlikely that Daish will be sacked - few teams would be prepared to pay off 18 months on a contract.
